PLease pay attention to the question.

We have all heard the legal questions as to "Is Obama is disqualified to serve as president" under the Constitutional requirement that the President be native born.

I have not followed this story closely and whether it is or isn't true is IRRELEVANT to the question.

The Constitution requires the president to be a natural born citizen.

"IF" facts prove that Barak was Born in Africa (his fathers homeland) would you agree

he should give up his office after winning the election.

Yes/No

Explain

If "facts" prove this is true then there is no question that he needs to decide.... The decision is not his to make.....

If it's just a question (rather than a somewhat stupid attempt to smeer Obama just a little bit), ask it without naming one of the candidates. Even an idiot could see throught your bias Danno.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

How would I rule? If it's a controversial issue, definitely 5 to 4. Why, that is how the supreme court handles controversial issues.

But Obama's presidential requirements isn't a controversial issue, matter of fact, not even an issue, otherwise the supreme court would have addressed this already. Hilary would have certainly made an issue out of it.

Besides a natural born USC, 35 years of age, and US residency of at least 14 years, feel they should add other requirements, like not coming from Texas or California. LOL, sure this last statement will be controversial. (Johnson, Nixon, Reagan, Bush, Bush), ha, let's toss in Arkansas as well.

Obama was clearly born on the fake moon landing set in Hollywood where Elvis plotted the 9/11 attacks after assassinating Kennedy.

That being true, he is a natural born citizen of the United States, and can be POTUS upon election by the Electoral College.

If you or I (as residents of this country) applied to work at a government job, we would be denied.

So, how could he have gone as far as governor if he was a naturalized citizen?

Perhaps that is allowed??

Hmmmm...

John McCain was born at the Coco Solo U.S. military base in the Panama Canal Zone to U.S. parents.

It is allowed (at least in CA). That is why Ahhnold (a natural born Austrian) but a Naturalized US Citizen can only be Govenor Ahhnold and never President Ahhnold....

I don't think this counts because aren't US military bases considered American soil? I think so.

And to answer the OP's question, sadly, I would vote no. Rules are rules and it wouldn't be fair if in fact he wasn't born on American soil. Now, if they change it to be otherwise, then I'm all for him being president.

Gotta be fair.

Yes, US Military bases are considered American soil.

IF then, yes, he would immediately be disqualified. But there's no "if." It's rather desperate for people to believe otherwise.

But regardless, if the qualifications as set forth by the Constitution are not met, then no, the person should not hold office.

Hmmm....do you think MAYBE someone checked this out already?

Neither may have been born on American soil, but both were born to at least one American parent.

Both are Americans and meet the minimum requirement to be elected President.

The fact that the OP purposely misspells Senator Barack Obama's name, speaks volumes.

Purposely in that countless others have called him on this, to the point where it is as obvious as the sun is bright.

I am neither a Democrat or a Republican, I am an American.

I would have absolutely no problem with a McCain presidency. He is a "Maverick".

However, his choice of running mate scares me to death. Palin is not qualified to be a 72 year old heartbeat from the presidency.

Question for the OP...how would you rule if you found out that Senator John McCain was less than honest

and distorted truths to gain an advantage...would you agree

he should give up his office after winning the election.

Yes/No
