What happens is the British pound has broken 3 key support levels - 1.45, 1.40 and 1.3865, the June 2001 low.

The next support level is $1.365, and then its $1.00, I'm afraid...

As of right now, 1 GBP = 1.3680/84 USD.

If it goes below $1.365, all bets are off.

Forex traders tend to pay close attention to things like support levels, so they often become

self-fulfilling prophecies.

Well thanks guys that has made my day NOT

Well I'm not laughing any more - it's really quite sad. It was uncool when the rate

was $2.10, but $1.30 is a bit much.

$1.30? Bloody hell.

Well no, it's $1.3872/75 at the moment, still above $1.365 (the 1992 low.)

I wish I had transferred more money earlier. Now it just sux. The money I was saving here to take back is now worth so little. I can't make up my mind if I transfer when I move or just keep it for a while.

Why do you say that?

The dollar is going to be the main casualty of global recovery.

As you know, the dollar rallied strongly after the stock market crash last September

(which was triggered by the collapse of Lehman Brothers) as investors scrambled for

safety of US assets.

Given the amount of money stockpiled in cash after the Lehman bankruptcy and still

undeployed after this spring's equity market rally, any upside move would renew the

dollar's downtrend.
