x-rays at POE

Hi guys, visas all approved and im all set. Just wondering if i have to carry the gigantic xray envelope in my hand luggage or just the famous 'do not open envelope'? anyone shed any light??? thanks in advance

just carry it through wherever you want. It will not be asked for at POE but you dont want to lose it.

ok thanks, ill pack it in my suitcase then. dont think ill lose something that big anyway lol. ill probably frame it and hang it on the wall till needed. thanks again.

It is a good idea to have it handy just in case.

This one did get asked for it the other day:

The above - will save you at least 15 mintues. Once all the above was provided and straight - the Officer asked for the "Xray". I would've never thought to have it with us at the POE if I had not read it here on CFL. "Don't leave the home country without it".

Roll it up (do NOT crease it) and put it in a cardboard tube for ease of handling.

Correct, but it would suck, to get asked for it, and have it locked away in checked baggage on the carousel just beyond the POE officer like in some airports.

We simply rolled it up, placed it in a tube, and put it in our carry on.

yep...tube it and carry it with you....there's always that "just in case" and this whole thing is stressful enough without added "what if...?'s"
