I've had to use Medicare and Food Stamps in the past and they allowed me to find work and pay taxes, so I don't care that my tax dollars go to help people who are having a hard time like I did at one point in time. If you want to be selfish and not help others, well you fit right in with Bush Carol&Marc, do you also take food from babies?

And I do agree they need to cut underperforming agencies, grants, etc but like ET said, he doesn't seem to make many cuts when it comes to Homeland Security.

(Italics and bold text are mine)

Guess where thats from?

So..we can only have welfare if we can afford it? Guess they missed that part out of the Constitution.

And I wonder if he knows what the result of poor education can be - usually its malcontentment and sows seeds of an underclass..and underclasses have been known to overthrow govts if they get big enough. There goes 'domestic tranquility' as well

And who will run and staff big businesses in order to compete with other nations if today's low wage earners who have children won't be educated?

Just a point.

I'm still in favor of letting tax payers determine how they want to see the money they pay used. Mine would go to exclusively health care, education, and public transport. As a pacifist, I'm opposed to the majority of my taxes going towards defense spending.

A country that blows $ 400+ billion on its military and defense budget, but needs to slash expenses for much smaller programs has a severe priority problem. How about ending agricultural, business and oil industry subsidies or trying to pass bill that do not include billions of dollars in pork (remember those bridges in the uninhabited areas of Alaska)??

He really is a pecker.

A better educated, more healthy workforce is a more productive workforce. When will people get this through their heads! It's not a case of being conservative or liberal, it's a case of being long term and smart in view.

Urg. We're just going to end up with a nation full of assclowns.

chopf##k is a better name in my opinion

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I think the bloke wants to ensure that there are others created in his image... complete morons who don't know their ####### from their elbow

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)
