There was one time my hubby and I didn't speak 1 word to each other for 7 days straight. We wouldn't even make eye contact when passing in the hallway and it was absolute TORTURE. We did end up making-up but it was not an easy road. Sadly enough this is not uncommon in intercultural relationships ESPECIALLY situations as ours are.

Mine also is a "hint dropper" and it has been known to make me feel like "poo" many-a-time. I basically learned to just look at him, stop him right there, and say "hey, when you say that to me, it is coming off really rude and is not the proper way to address the woman you are supposed to love". He is still in the process of learning how to communicate his stressers towards myself/my son without being so harsh. At first he would say "oh you are too sensitive" or "what is wrong if I tell the truth"... My response to that is that the truth can be told without hurting somebody. And yes, I'm sensitive but no more than any other woman. Even arabian girls are sensitive but many are not "allowed" to voice that opinion but maaaaaaaaan u get them in a room of women and listen to their lips rattle about how po'ed they are about what their hubby said/did to them......

mine has slowly been coming around and yours will too ensha'allah.

We are always working on our relationship, but I think the new stressor of working together is going to take adjustment on both sides.

I roasted a leg of lamb today with baby potatoes and feta yogurt sauce - I'm kinda hoping for a happy hubby over dinner and a good conversation after I've gotten yummy food into him You know what they say, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. I had planned it a few days ago to supprise him, but I am definantly going to take advantage of the timing.

Horrible news coming out of Chicago tonight...Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were shot dead and her 7 year old nephew is missing. I pray they find this child alive and unhurt.

just popped in to say hi. Stayed over night at hospital last night so it's good to be back in my own bed. I"m wicked sore but it's getting better every day so alhumdulila for these simple surgery techiniques !!!

Tonight Adam was on the porch outside and all of a suddend he yelled and opened the door and said Come Here!!! Theres a Fox outside! He made my heart skip some beats bcz of his yell, when he told me a fox I was puzzled so I told him to describe it to me... He described an Oppossum!!!!!!
