Do you think it will be Ok to use my wife's passport as a proof of her US citizenship? Her passport will expired on 2012. Her name appeared in her passport was her unmarried last name. Now she's married with me and her last name was changed. do you think this will be a problem? Do you think she needs to apply for a new passport with her married name on it? Thanks

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

she can use her name if she wants too, eventhough if she is married already,so i don't think it's gonna be a problem if you photocopy her passport, anyway you have a copy of your marriage certificate.

Between the passport with maiden name and the marriage certificate, I am sure they will connect the dots, no need to fret over this.

While it might be helpful to change the passport, on the petition you will put current legal name and in the "Other Names Used" section you will put the previous name (ie.. passport name)... They will see the connection

YMMV
