Question - does everyone have their photos taken AND the whole set of fingerprints for Biometrics?

For me,yes...they took picture of me and 10 fingerprinting...

i am curious as to why that is. when i had my visa interview back home, they took 10 fingerprint biometrics. when i arrived at my POE they took a picture and 10 fingerprint biometric as well. and this time its the same thing again? do they not keep these in record/files?

I was wondering if the letter for the biometrics comes from the uscis at chicago or the local office where the biometrics are processed. Anyone knows?

The letter comes from the zip code of the USCIS center that starts processing your case. I was curious about that as well, so when I received my biometrics appointment, I looked up the envelope's mail-from zip code, and my letter was mailed from Missouri. Interestinlgy enough, the NOA1 had a Chicago zip code...
