I need useful people to live on my island in canada with me once global warming starts to take over everything. There's already a few people coming and we need more people who are useful. Let us know what you would be useful for and we will decide if you can come too

My cousin, an airline pilot decided to get away from it all, quit is job and took his wive and five kids to live in a commune up in Canada, that only lasted a year, no electricity, radio, TV, and live off the land kind of thing. Was suppose to bring them closer to nature and God.

So what are your requirements, assume since it's your island, you will be the bossman. Seems like if we build WTC's, would need a national defense, a DHS, and all that other stuff. On the other hand, if we were to build grass huts, nobody would care and especially if we use the woods for nature's call, place would stink so bad, that would definitely keep them away.

Could go the route of Mackinac Island and not allow any vehicles, just horses, but then would need crews to pick up the horse droppings. Or just make it a resort island to attract tourists, if so, I will start to gather every broken bicycle I could find, come over and rent them for 20 bucks an hour.

Is your island an entity? Or does Canada claim it and will send over tax assessors.
