I agree. I'd love to know why am I and my case so special that I have to wait over 200 days (and counting) while another person from the same country gets it in 60?! Between them and me, no wonder that UK average approval time is still around 140! And I'm sorry but not buying that security checks ####### at all. You just need to see recent approvals to realise that it's all just a smoke screen.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm glad all these people are getting their approvals but all I want to know is WHY I am not. Give me a valid reason and I'll wait even longer than I already have but I hate this hiding behind 30 days, 60 days, 180 days smoke screen. Ooh, I'm not in a good mood today...

Kat & Allie I know exactly how you feel. I got to the point where I didn't come on VJ much coz I was sick of all the quick approvals & it was soooo unfair!

It's the most frustrating process we've ever had to go through & I thought our NA02 would never come, but it did in the end.

Yours WILL come through soon.

Good Luck!

Yep me too. Mine didnt come til 219 days. It hurt and angered me to see the unfairness. Anger at the system, not the individuals...tho I felt like I was being taunted daily with ppl's 35 day approval postings...so i gave up and only came on 6+ month thread...I felt a lot better not reading those other posts. Your day will come Kat&Allie! Hang in there!

I agree, i feel like you, i've waited for 200 days to get an approval and thanks to the congressman our case was approved, send letters to the senators, congressman, ombudsman they can help i'm sure :)

Stay strong and positive, now it seems to me all the waiting was a few days but there were times when we wanted to give up all, thanks God we never did, this whole things can break relationships, ours was on the way to break because we thought we will never be together, but one day, when we both were really depressed, sad, angry and all that the letter came in the mailbox and......Gosh what a relief it was worth it, i cant go thru this again but...hey anything for the LOVE :)

Have faith all, your time will come, never stop praying and make sure you want it, because if we really want something and pray for it it will happen we just need to know for 1000 % we want it more than anything :)

Thanks for the support. It is much appreciated. There are so few of us (thankfully) who have been stuck in this waiting game and it's only the people who have experienced this hell who can truly comprehend what you are going through. So thanks again for the support. It is so easy to get discouraged these days especially seeing people sailing through at under 90 days! Sometimes I feel like a petulant child who wants to scream “It’s not fair! They haven’t done their time yet!!!” I know it’s childish and mean and I don’t begrudge them their approvals in the least but couldn’t it be Sara, Brian or some of the other “old timers”… or even me?

I know that we'll get that all allusive approval one day but it is so hard to stay strong.

Exactly right PM&JAM. I haven't been able to bring myself to congratulate them on their approvals for a while yet. Can't even read them... :(

Thanks for the support. Means a lot.

Thanks for the support. I think you've been lucky that you have a helpful congressman... ours is a waste of time and space :(.

You are right, the things we do for love :) but I would put myself through this ever again. He can move here and had we gone down that route, we would've been together ages ago. It's pity the weather is so much nicer in Florida than in London :).

BTW, does anybody know how to do multiple quotes in one reply? I've tried edit but it won't do another quote. Anybody knows?

Well, I don't scream "It's not fair! They haven't done their time yet!!!" when I read the fast approval threads, but I sure as heck think it! I'd really love to smack that adjudicator over the head, shove an "old timer's" petition in their face and say, "approve this!" This system is so broken. It's ridiculous and frustrating to no end. I know I haven't said much here since I got my NOA2, but you all are still in my thoughts everyday. I wish there was something I could do.

BTW, does anybody know how to do multiple quotes in one reply? I've tried edit but it won't do another quote. Anybody knows?

What ya do is click down there where it says "quote" at the end of each post you want to reply to. Once you've done that, click "addreply" at the very bottom of the page and all the posts you selected will be quoted in the text box thingy.

Thanks for that. I should have asked that question long time ago
