Hi there time to cheer you up! :jest:

Joke of the day:

When I was six months pregnant with my third child, my three year

old came into the room when I was just getting ready to get into the

shower.

She said, 'Mummy, you are getting fat!'

I replied, 'Yes, honey, remember Mummy has a baby growing in her

tummy.'

'I know,' she replied, but what's growing in your butt?'

Even though I haven´t been in your club a very long time I am happy to announce: we are approved!!!!

I got a phonecall at 2 in the morning and my fiance told me he found it in his mailbox.

There weren´t any updates on the uscis website and there wasn´t any email. Very typical for USCIS.

The funny thing is that we could have already known when we had our engagement party in Germany on March 7th. Oh well, I am just so happy.

I´ve been reading this thread since Decemeber and I will keep reading it. I hope that at some point even Sara will make it out of here and it will stop existing. Nobody deserves to wait for that long, be apart from their loved ones and be so uncertain about their future.

wow congratulations

hmm i wonder if i should make a thread for people waiting a year or longer what do u think?

Sara - go ahead and make one for more than one year. We just "celebrated" 15 months on the 30th of February, lol (March 1 I guess). We filed November 30, 2007. Got a call from one Senator yesterday, a letter from the 2nd Senator and an email from USCIS - Due to security/background checks our case has been delayed. As all applications/petitions go through this process we will be unable to advise when the case will proceed. Grrr.

Just wanted to join this forum... still waiting and decided to come back to visajourney for some company. I see there are plenty of others in our waiting group. I feel sad and angry for everyone and yet comforted to know we are not alone... a little bittersweet.

Hey everyone.

I started posting a couple of weeks ago, and never receive a comment, but that is because everyone else is asleep when I'm up. It makes it a little lonlier, but I enjoy reading and receiving encouragement from your back and forth posts with each other anyway. After waiting eight months for USCIS to process the few pieces of paper we send to them, I decided to fly to the Philippines to be with my beloved Maria. I've been here since January 18, believing the whole time that my approval just had to be on its way. I planned to stay a little over two months, and figured the approval would come and I could then stay through the interview. Yesterday I cancelled the return tickets I had already purchased for she and I, and I'm extending my trip here. I just refuse to let USCIS control my life and fate, by returning home alone. Fortunately I can do this, but the continuing agony of the USCIS failure to act remains the same. Thanks for all of you being here for support for Maria and I. Congratulations to those of you who finally got the NOAH 2 this past week. It warms my heart every time another one of you gets approved.

Good for you Carl for staying with her.

This visa process, at least for some of us, is truly tortuous but at least you are lucky enough to be able to spend some time with your SO. That must be so precious. Just wish more of us could afford to do it. :) Or maybe even better, just get us our approvals in some reasonable timescale....

Hope you get to return home with her very soon.

All the best.

Hi guys. I haven't been on here for a few days.

Jokalu and Wendy+Greger - CONGRATULATIONS!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU.

Went to Infopass appointment on Friday . He said my case had been re-assigned to a new officer and that lately lots of people had touched my case. Yet, there hasn't been a touch online. Whatever. The answer is still the same...pending background checks!

I just filled in my timeline (I've been working aLOT lately) and found out it took 313 days for me to get the NOA2. That place makes NO SENSE AT ALLL!!!! There is a post here from someone who said "Approved in 85 days!"

I just can't understand that place. Sara I am so bummed that you are still waiting I feel guilty that I got mine and you are still waiting. No one deserves it more then you. I guess it is just fate that you should move to India. Can't he apply for a work Visa to come here? I am a Nurse and at one hospital I worked at the Doctors were almost 100% from India, Pakistan, Iran, etc. And they all had gotten their medical degrees in their native countries. Maybe you could move there, get married and then he can apply for a work visa to come back here?
