Hello 6 monthers,

I just wanted to leave a little message of encourgement and support. It's so awful that you've been waiting this long for a NOA2. I'm at the 4 months stage and have no problem waiting yet. I'd be dying at 6 months though. People are constantly complaining about waiting for 1, 2, 3 months but I really think that 6+ months is ridiculous. I hope that you all receive your NOA2s soon and that the steps after that speed by. Best, best, best, best of luck!

HEY ALL  still no word back on my RFE as yet.... and the worse it my CO SPonser is falling through meaning......dont think he will do it! great hey! its like i dont mind the wait i know the visa is eventually coming but now this.............. i dont know wat my other options are we have tried other people and not getting anywhere with this co sponser.. wat hapens if you can not get one? its stressn us both out so much. its been 2whole weeks and still no RFE approval or letter to say they have even received it as yet........

so with that and al the stress of everything i am booking a trip to see shun in nov for thanksgiving and his bday. i know i wil have to bring ties to my country i have told work and have got some time off . i need to see him its been such a stresful and emotional time especially with the recent drama!

so depressed

emmmm

Hi 6+'ers. I'm so sorry you've had to wait so long. :( Russ and I had to wait years (because of my ex-husband more than the uscis ;) ). We've certainly had more stumbling blocks than most and have spent a fortune in travel all over the world just so we could be together over the years.

Anyway, I just wanted to wish you all well and tell you to try to keep strong. Believe me when I tell you that I know how hard and unfair it all is ..for some more than others ;) ... but I also want you to know that when the time does come... all the heartache you are feeling will go away and it will be replaced by more joy than you even expected.

This is the worst of it. Get through this and then carry it with you so that you never take your relationship for granted.

I just want you to know that there is light at the end of the tunnell...even though you may not see it now. I hope you keep supporting each other and that you are able to celebrate with each other very soon.

love ya sara ;)

thanks kim love u too.........i have recently met a few vj people that really cant come to this site anymore because it is so depressing for them one of them is a really nice girl from the Philippines she has been waiting even longer than i have and dont understand why theirs is taken so long either......so i guess what im trying to say is there are even more people than we know of that belong to vj that have been waiting so so long and have lost faith in the system........im just about there myself kind of hard to have faith in it when u see people getting noa2 that filed in june, july and sept of this year.......sometimes i can keep up a good face but as time goes in it really gets harder and i dont try to direct my anger here but towards csc but that is kind of like getting angry with the wall cuz it wont move........anyways hope everyone gets their approvals very fast i will be there cheering u on and celebrating in ur happiness

I can only imagine how difficult it is to see all these others approved, Sara. Nobody would blame you for taking a break from VJ (just make sure you keep in touch with me ;) ).

I think it's great that you folks have started this thread so that you are not having to face all the 'good news' that is rightly shared in other threads. Even if you try your best not to take it personally or relate it to you... I know, it's hard not to.

We've discussed this at length, and you know I'm all for the protection of our borders and safety of our citizens but why these checks can't be done in a timely manner with an at least a definitive answer one way or another rather than making people wait years is just unfathomable to me.

The process is broken and needs serious reform. I feel for you all and hope your wait is rewarded very soon.

i've seen in other threads before about how long you have already been waiting, it must be very hard for you to put on a good face while others get their approvals who applied a long time after you. you are a very strong person for being able to deal with your waiting situation, to stay on vj all this time and give other people encouragement as well as that is simply amazing. i hope that you don't have to wait too much longer and that you get to celebrate for yourself soon, you deserve it. :)

except i dont know how to tell them that i dont like turkey haha! is this a problem???

YOU SHOULD BE BURNED AT THE STAKE FOR SAYING THAT!!!... but on the positive side it's very likely there will be a wide variety of foods not made of turkey and possibly even an alternate meat of some kind, just say no thanks to anything you don't want to eat, you are unlikely to starve on thanksgiving. You'll probably get a strange look from most people for not liking turkey but there was bound to be at least one person in the world who wouldn't like it. The alternate is to ask for just a small piece instead of turning it down... then the shame of disliking turkey can remain a secret, and, you can try a little, you might find that the turkey you had in the past just wasn't prepared the same way and may like it (that seems unlikely but if all you've ever eaten was processed "turkey" which is so salted it might as well be ham... it's not the same).
