Sara - I can't believe the ####### that they are putting you through. That makes no sense what they told you yesterday. I don't understand what the hold up is with your case. But it sounds like maybe they don't either.

My congressman called and said they told him pending background checks. He said he's going to contact the FBI himself for me and see what they tell him. Who knows if the FBI will talk to him or not.

The USCIS website should show a touch if the Congessman contacted them. It will show that they looked at your file. This happened to us when our lawyer made an enquiry & again when the Senator contacted them. We were approved 2 weeks after the Senators enquiry! So you never know...

Good Luck!

PB&JAM have a great time and enjoy each other!!!!!

well as some of u know my future father in law is here visiting us........he encouraged me to again call csc to see where we stand since sending in the documents that csc had asked for, now i dont know if csc just in general hires stupid ignorant people or if its just my luck to mostly get connected to those type, yesterday on speaker phone so that my future father in law could hear the questions i asked and answers i was told......u all ready for this?.........i was told ur case has been sent back to us from the embassy for further review and investigation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i explained to this idot, our case has never made it thru csc or nvc, so it has never been the embassy!!!! answer: our records indicate at this point i hung up

sara

URGH!!! I think if I were you I would just re-file. It's a joke! I'm sure they just make stuff up. If you petition again it would go through quicker!

I can't believe how insensitive these people are. Surely they can see the date you sent the I129f? It would ring alarm bells with anyone with SOME brain cells!

ur right its a joke a very bad joke on us.......i dont know if u can have two petitions going thru at the same time?

sara

I'm sure you can put another petition in..but check with your lawyer to get a definite answer. It seems you are going around in circles with the CIS.

we called him yesterday and he stated that yes they are going around and around and always back tracking on what they tell us so we asked him to file suite against them to force them into a denial or approval of our case, he stated he wanted to check something first im not sure what i was so angry was kind of hard for me to focus on what he was saying, but i do seem to remember him stating that if they claim it is in security even if we sue for approval or denial that they can get out of it by simply saying it is in security how ever they are not stating that at this point so we are waiting.......but i will defiantly ask if we can file again while there is still a petition pending'

i pray that ur congressman gets to the bottom of what is going on with ur case, as for us we just are in shock

sara

Thanks. What does your attorney think? It seems like since you're paying them good money they should be able to get more answers for you.

basically what i feel from him is that he also is at a loss for what to do or what to even say to us at this point and im sure it is stressful for him because u know im not just emailing and calling once a month more like prolly two times a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i guess sometimes he dont answer because he dont know what to say, and truthfully the only thing ANYONE could say my attorney or csc at this point that will calm me down is u have ur noa2

OH MY GOD. I'm sure you just wanted to jump over the counter at that point in time. That's the most ridiculous thing ever. Why have you let it go on? What else are you suppose to do? The question is why have they let it go on that long. So she wouldn't even look into the file for you? That's awful. I'm sorry that happened.

basically what i feel from him is that he also is at a loss for what to dois u have ur noa2

sara

If I were you, I'd contact local media like a newspaper or television station and pitch my story. Waiting for 1.5 years should be enough to get somebody to write or investigate something. Shame them into doing something with your case.

Also, are you talking to the CSC or to the normal 1-800 number?

NOA 2. Really?

And have a good time PB&JAM! Hopefully there will be a nice surprise (NOA2) in your mailbox when you get home!

I too am past the 6 mos mark... waiting for the K1.

It has been 7 long months, and still no interview. Apparently the consulate in Montreal has all of our paperwork, and has had it for the past 3 weeks. We're hoping to secure an interview date soon, regardless of when that date is I just want something on the calendar to work towards! (

:time: Pretty, pretty please!

I have a feeling the lady at your INFOPASS appointment knew she couldn't help you, so instead of taking responsibility for that, she blamed you. There's a special place in hell for people like her. :)

I agree! I'm always reading in the newspaper about some person who overstayed their visa and wants everyone's pity. I've never read a story really exposing how messed up the legal immigration system is, and I think it would be a good story to get out there. And it'll definitely light a fire under someone's butt at CSC for ya!

Oh, I just refreshed the page. How can they not be interested in this? :(

And I thought I'd share a website I found... I don't know how much it will help you all, or if you already have contact information for CSC. It even says it's "For Designated School Official use only. Do NOT share contact information with students nor attorneys." I've never tried any of the contacts myself. But here ya go anyway. http://www.region12.nafsa.org/r12howtocontactcsc.htm
