USCIS is checking the petitioner

NVS/foreign counsulate checks benificiary

the service center checks to make sure u have met then criteria for the k1 visa they then run the beneficiary name thru the data base, if that name is close to someone else's and makes a hit then u get stuck in security for a while, when ur case goes to the nvc then they check the petitioner name, same thing applies there if there is someone with similar name and it makes a hit then security check, when the beneficiary goes to the interview he or she is checked again thru some other data base or if ur from a mena country can be automatic ap sometimes not but most the time just about anyone from mena goes thru ap.

what held ours up was stuff needed for perviz had nothing to do with me, it was explained to me from the service center as well as our attorney.

hey sara...what is the reason that they took this long for your petition? did you get a RFE or did they just misplace the application?

i hope your NOA2 is coming soon iA

it has been in the review room since feb of last year someone was suppose to send a rfe but nobody did that was the complete problem

The frustrating thing is that we were never told, so far, that we are in background checks. Every time my fiance called, he heard stuff like "Your case is awaiting for that approval stamp, should be any day now" So, really...I don't know what to say anymore.

Anyway, we contacted the new Senator (finally) and the guy said he is working on several cases like ours, and as soon as he receives news for us he will call. Call??? Hmmm, do you guys really think he will take the time to give us a call if he hears about an approval or has news about our case ?

Mhaze: don't be waiting. :bonk: It's gonna be here when you least expect it.

Call??? Hmmm, do you guys really think he will take the time to give us a call if he hears about an approval or has news about our case ?

I received calls from my Senator's office while they were helping me out...and it wasn't always just to return my calls. I think it could happen for you.

NOA 2. Really?
