Wait till you hear this.....

After 10 months of waiting my congressman's office called me today and said that they talked to their "Special Contact" at USCIS and that person said we are going to be in Security Checks for a LONG TIME!!!!

What the hell does that mean???? 10 months isn't long enough????

I was really hoping on getting approved this week. Things have been looking so good with all the approvals lately.

Whywhywhywhywhywhywwhy??????

:crying:

Oh no Wendy I'm so sorry, this must be heartbreaking for you.

Our lawyer has a 'special contact' at the CIS but they couldn't tell us how long we were going to be in checks. They just said we were just in them. How can this person know how long you'll be in checks? Did he call someone? I think it all a loada a bulls**t. How can they be so cruel?

I know its hard but I would try to ignore that comment they made. I would just try to be positive that you will get your NA02 next week.

I'm praying hard for you. :star::star:

They say a security check is a check on the petitioner (as this is the petition stage) The beneficiary gets checked at the NVC/ Embassy stage.

All petitioners get a routine name check but sometimes the name will flag up. Maybe there is someone with the same name with a crim record? Who knows? Ours came back ok in the end.

Thanks for your feedback.

I guess we will all have to turn our attention to March and hope that the new month will bring lots more NOA2s.

Good luck everyone; I know waiting and not knowing anything sucks.

You never can tell, but I fly alot and I've never been hassled or singled out and we ended up in background checks for 3 months.

Monkey Juice, Sara and everyone else, thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

As far as security checks I have heard it both ways. My Congressman and Lawyer said they are checking him, but then on here I have heard they are checking me. I don't think its me because I don't have a criminal record and my last name is BODZIOCH. Practically NO ONE has that name. And Wendy is not very common either.

My Fiance's last name is LARSSON and almost EVERYONE'S last name in Sweden is Larsson.

So I don't know... But I was talking at work today and said, even if I have to wait another year, he is worth waiting for.

Sara I am so bummed that you haven't heard anything yet! I check every day waiting to see good news from you. When you get it I am going to be as happy as if it were my own! :)

Thanks Everyone!

Wendy
