Hey everyone, I know we haven't been waiting quite as long but I'm getting a bit concerned as we haven't been touched even once since we sent in our forms 5 and a bit months ago. Is this normal? It just seems that everyone else has had at least one touch, I'm just getting a bit worried our files have been lost in a dark corner somewhere....

Anyway, hopefully we'll get some action now the elections are done :)

I wouldn't worry. There are people on here who've said they had no touches and received their NAO2 in the post completely out of the blue. Every case seems to be different.

I can't believe we were originally planning on spending Christmas together...what a joke that seems now. AND as for our wedding which is booked for 21st Feb '09...now looks like that's gonna have to be postponed!

Oh well I have this positive feeling that there's gonna be a 'whole buch' of NAO2's coming very soon..... :star:

I think we were all counting on ourselves being one of the "lucky" ones... Hopefully it won't be too long to go now though, surely now the elections are over they can get on and do some work?! Monkey Juice, once the NOA2 comes through, it seems to move quite quickly so you'll be fine! You still have plenty of time! Having said that, when Hal called up the other day to get some information on our forms, they said we'd been skipped over as we didn't have an immediate wedding date and that's why certain other files were being expediated (personally I find it hard to believe that almost every person with an NOA1 in June/July that's been approved had an early wedding date set but maybe I'm just being cynical...) Anyway, I'm sure you've called already but perhaps it's worth mentioning that? Good luck!!!

How would they know about the early wedding date? Was that on the k-1 form somewhere?

hmm maybe they wrote it in the letter of intent that u send with the k1?

we didnt we just stated we intend to marry with in 90 days after usa entry.......

I think they just make it up as they go along! Perhaps if people call? I don't know... I didn't think it was a valid reason to have the case expedited...

I guess it's just a good question for the next time someone calls and get's that excuse... because I can set a wedding date too if it means getting NOA2 approval before then (not that I'm outside the processing time but heck... if all it takes is a wedding date I can set one!).

Apparently according to my caseworker at my congressman's office, "They don't expedite fiance visas unless someone's dying... you just need to have patience." Um, #1 I didn't ask you to expedite ANYTHING, I simply asked you to find out WHY we're STILL waiting over processing times, and #2, We've had 6 MONTHS worth of patience, and it's run out, so please, do the job that our taxes pay you to do and find out ####### is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously. Oh, and on a more humorous note, after my mom talked to the same woman (who hadn't returned 4 phone calls in 3 weeks from me, but as soon as my mom left a message in the actual Senator's DC office, she was back to her in less than 24 hours) and she acted like she'd never heard of me or my case... my mom sent an email to Obama. Haha, seriously mom? Forget the economy and the war, Mr. President, just find out what's going on with my visa, thanks. Haha, I love that my mom's so protective of me. Just love it. Don't love that she was basically b****ed out on the phone by this woman. Maybe we'll all hear by Thanksgiving and have something to be thankful for?? Maybe????

No, no ,no... As we hired our lawyer in 1st week of March '08, we initally thought that one year would be plenty of time to get the visa sorted (based on the majority of timelines on here) & therefore Feb '09 seemed like in the right timeline to book our wedding.

We weren't expecting to be expedited, perhaps we were just a little too confident in thinkin we would receive our visa like the majority of others do.

We figured a year too so we booked for May so we have a while but I think that's a perfectly reasonable timeframe. Unfortunately some of these people in CSC don't seem to agree!

Hello 6 monthers,

I just wanted to leave a little message of encourgement and support. It's so awful that you've been waiting this long for a NOA2. I'm at the 4 months stage and have no problem waiting yet. I'd be dying at 6 months though. People are constantly complaining about waiting for 1, 2, 3 months but I really think that 6+ months is ridiculous. I hope that you all receive your NOA2s soon and that the steps after that speed by. Best, best, best, best of luck!
