We have been waiting for more than a year now, which is fairly annoying. But not sure if it is the USCIS or our lawyer's fault.

Either way after the cheque cash and two touches, we have had a request for further information (see the thread I started).

So I will join you poor people in the hope that together with our half visa's we can make a full one

May God hear you!

So, they did not work on Saturday, Monday and will not today either. This week will be a short one for USCIS. But let's hope they will want to finish as much files as possible.

Sara, I was praying for my NOA2 one of these days, and I got this inner thought like :in order for me to get my NOA2, I need to pray harder for other people to get theirs, as it is their turn, first. And in that minute I knew I had to pray for you and people in your situation, first.

(L) So, hang in there...people who you most likely will never meet in this life, are praying for you!

thank you so much for your prayers we need all we can get. csc has not contacted us since the ombudsman sent his official inquiry, but we did get a letter from csc dated the 12th of this month about the request from expedite they stated our back ground check is still open and they can not move forward with the expedite until that is finished and as always we should check back in six months if nothing has happened, so there goes my theory about all older cases like ours having to be cleared by the end of feb........................................................ :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying::crying:

Urgh!!! I'm so sorry to hear that! I can't believe this can happen. You never know..your file could be cleared any day. Stay positive Sara. :star:

Oana!

I got a touch yesterday! (MONDAY) So someone was there working! I couldn't believe it!!!

Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate it!

And I hope no-one new has to join our club. It seems like there has been an abundance of approvals lately.

Keep praying and crossing your fingers!

Wendy

Ok, so they WERE working... but no approvals, just touches. My fiance called USCIS yesterday, and he was told that apparently our file is in final processing, should only need the stamp on it. So he asks "Ok, and how long does it take for that stamp to land on our file?" USCIS repres: "Oh, it might take up to 90 days".

Oh, and what's with that "service request" ? I think we also got one.

Guys, does anybody know what "service request" actually means, besides the meaning from the dictionary???

Stepha, maybe you have an idea about that, since you mentioned having one.

The 90 days before stamp I think is just one of those stupid answers, like somebody said that an USCIS officer told her a visa can take up to 20 years.

service request is when your s/o calls and says my case is late i want to put in a service request to find out where my petition is in the system so then they go looking for your petition and send you a letter telling you if ur in security or being adjudicated or what

well at least your not being told wait another six months and if u dont receive notice of action on ur case contact us so it sounds to me like your about finished with this part of the process

Hey guys...

We just called NVC again and they finally got our case.

But now they are saying that my date of birth is not correct and because of that they can't give us more information...strange.

We'll try again with another call....different person, different info ;)

you know how it goes!

I wish you guys all the best and I'll keep you in my prayers!!!!!

I'm sure the "check back in 6 months" thing is just another generic statement that they tell everyone in security checks. I have every hope that you'll be approved WAY before then.. did they say what kind of security check?

My fiance called USCIS and the lady told him that because of the large number of K1 files it takes more time to process them. (tell me something I don't know!). She could see in her computer that our case hadn't been touched since October (but the guy from the InfoPass told us it had been touched in December), she couldn't say if we are in security checks or not, only that a rfe usually pulls you back. Her advice was to write to CSC- as this would help...
