I actually was planning on being APPROVED in August (4 months) and now people who were just applying then are getting approved before me. It's just not fair. Sorry about the whining.

Yep, that's why I swore myself today not to look at Igor's list anymore or read most of the topics here. NOA 2 comes when it comes. No rules anyways.

Yeah - I can really only look at this thread or I get mad, but yesterday there were about 6 posts for approvals and I looked! Stupid me!

I'd say about every other day I have that attitude where I'm okay with it. It will come when it comes and there is a reason for the wait, even though I can't see it now. Then on the other days I'm on here whining!!!

i just wonder what could it be? we are yet to receive the hard copy.

how long does it usually take to get the letter from them?

Shouldn't take too long. We got ours on a Wednesday and we had the letter the following Tuesday, although it seemed an age at the time... It only took a couple of days to put together though and is now back on it's way to CSC... Hopefully they'll get started on it soon! Good luck!

Did anyone notice the USCIS site posted:

Service Center Processing Dates for California Service Center as of: September 30, 2008

so that means the 6 months time frame begins from september 30, 2008 and before. In other words USCIS is working on april cases right now.

This is what my timeline comes to until they have another update (hopefully soon)

It is 159 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date

Or 5 months, 6 days excluding the end date

it's heartbreaking to read this thread.

I mean waiting is fine but I feel just so unfairly treated because there is nothing we can do. You just wouldn't get an answer from USCIS. I don't worry too much yet but I can hardly imagine what it will be like once we hit the 6+ months.

Sometimes this makes me want to work for USCIS to improve systems (hahaha,ok I am really a quality manager).

My fiancé is already now thinking about moving here. So no, you are not crazy. :-)

We phoned our lawyer yesterday to ask him to get in touch with USCIS or put an enquiry in. I checked the CIS website today and we've had a touch! The first one since October 2nd.

Being the pescimist that I am, I daren't get my hopes up but fingers crossed! We're on 6.5 months now so it's not good! If we don't hear anything in the next few days then the Senator will be the next step.

I Hope all of you get some news soon. Zoe & Hal, Wendy & Greger, Panterchen & of course crazy Emma from Oz who should be enjoying her time with her man in the US as we speak!! Looks like she got through immigration as she's not posted on here for a few days.

...Not to forget Sara who should defo hear something soon.

Less than 24hrs before i was bout to leave for LA..........I get sick with really bad abdo pains anyways long story short , next thing u know im in an ambulance off to a big hospital to get surgery ........just got out recovering slowly..............Hoping to re fly out to LA on 15TH DEC and spend xmas and NYE with shun as i missed thanksgiving and his bday. dramas to change everything but hoping to get well and then try fly! All the while i was stuck in hospital no changes or updates on my RFE......come on i at least deserved a little bit of info even a touch lol! Emma, when did USCIS actually receive your RFE? They've had ours since 16 Oct. and our case is still pending... and I try to understand why most of the RFEd guys get approved immediately and not us?

same goes i hear ya! they asked for out rFE oCtb 10th they would of got it no longer than 2weeks later im still waiting to hear. getn lawyer to call and see if they recieved it this week as the stupid lawyer sent it off so he can chase it up! arrh sooo frustrating.....

I hope it good news, this is ridiculous! I read someone say that last year at this time there were alot of approvals. Probably trying to get in a quota by the end of the year. I hope its true.
