awww Sara I'm so glad that it wasn't bad news as you though it would be. That's encouraging enough to know that there isn't anything "incriminating" on your man. I suppose you are just one of the unlucky ones. You'll get through this soon...I'm sure of it! Lots of hugs.

thank you and ur right we will get thru it and i really think we will be getting our noa2 about the same time as everyone else that has filed this past aug...... :)

Hey Jessica, looks like some activity happening...hope you've got your papers together, now I know why people start doing it early on in the process, our file was 3 inches thick when completed. Cinara recieved her letter from the embassy on 11.17.08 and her interview was preselected by them for 11.26.08. It did not give me time to request vacation to be with her, and barely enough time to get appointments...flight and hotel booked. Had to rush to finished our file and send to her...hope she gets it by Friday, had to rush international by UPS $179.00  Also since she did not have a bank account, I discovered that California will not wire transfer money to Brazil. I had to eventually drive to Las Vegas to do it thru Monegram. My own bank would not wire money to her unless she had a "traditional" account with an account number at a locat bank there...couldn't just wire to a bank in brazil for pick up with confirmation number.

Good luck with the rest of the process

Hello everybody,

first of all: I hope every single one of you gets approved as soon as possible. This is just ridiculous the time it takes for some of you to be processed. We hit 150 days tomorow (so 5 months) and I hope it will be over soon.

I am sure you guys know better than me, so I have a question:

We called USCIS yesterday since we get worried and the lady told us that they cannot do anything for us until we hit the 180 days of waiting. From posts here I inferred that this means that they can then start an inquiry about where your file is and why it takes so long. As this sounds great, how can it be that you guys are all still waiting?

I am sorry, to bring this up as I am sure you are all very frustrated and angry but I would just like to know what makes petitions get so much out of USCIS processing times?!

I would be glad if you could share your stories.

If you're lucky!! After 180 days they tell you to wait another 30 days. After the extra 30 days you can put in an enquiry, then you have to wait another 45 days for them to look into it & get back to you! It's all very annoying and there's not a lot anyone can do about it. So it's just a case of being patient and crossing fingers.

I hope you don't have to wait too long. :star:

Wow I been waiting for 185 days I have no idea how much more I could wait. Is there anything we could do, I call immigration every week and they tell me the same story. I have called my attorney and she tells me we have to wait. I have a friend that submitted in April and was approved in Sept., I have another friend that submitted in October and got approved in 15 days. So I have no idea was going on, it doesn’t matter if your papers are endorse by an attorney they are still taking longer and longer. The only thing left to do is just pray. Anyone has any suggestions.

well if it helps any they have some new regulation or something that is making them get the older cases out of the way......and since u come from a country that is not mid eastern, muslim u should not get the security checks that we have so i would be willing to place bets that ur approved in dec or jan about six months after filing...............

I would be happy but I have my doubts. I am worried that maybe the check us extra because we met in Turkey (muslim country) and he even lived in Tunesia (alsmo muslim country) for 4 months because my fiancé studies international relations with his major on the middle east. So I don't know.

But escadia, really, I am speechless about what they do with you. That's is just unfair. I mean a security check ok, extra delay ok, but something like that cannot take a year. But at the same time...I know we can't do much and I feel helpless.

Panterchen,

Your case should be approved soon. Take comfort in the fact that we are the unlucky minority in this 6 month waiting club. Hopefully you never fall into the black hole that we seem to have fallen in. I just have to believe that everything happens for a reason and we will be back with our loved ones when the time is right.

We had our RFE back... They want evidence we've met in the past 2years... We've put together 45 pages of pictures, plane tickets, passport stamps, all the stuff we sent in originally.... Hoping this'll be enough for them!!

Not long now.....
