Yeea that is good news but here is what pisses me off about the whole deal. Before I submitted the petition I went to the immigration office and asked the people behind the desk, "Is everything legit? Is there anything else I need before I send this out?" Dude behind the counter said it was just fine and I shouldn't have any problems. Dumb F#$ker. So yea it is a mix of good news and bad news. Oh yea I just found out that I am transferring out of my current duty station to the other side of the country in 4 weeks. That is adding to my stresses as well. I need a beer dammit.

well it could be worse, we HIRED an attorney to take care of our petition he no longer sends us any return email, or return phone calls, everything he told us about anything the lady that is now answering us when she feels like returning a email states different than he did, and on top of all of that he didnt send a cover letter when sending our petition addressing the two issues that we felt we needed to hire him for to begin with, he is also a member of vj last time i got into a snit about this mess of ours he called me so im guessing i hope he reads this post and calls i have already sent numerous emails asking to talk to him and for him to be the attorney handling our case as he is the attorney we paid the money to for it

anyways thanks for letting me rant its one of those days

sara

What a mess. How can ####### like that go on for so long?

Hello friends,

I just wanted to update this thread since I have been posting here with you folks too,

As you can see we *Finally* got our NOA2 after 8 months of waiting and hearing ABSOLUTELY nothing at all. I checked the website out of habit after they updated it this month and low and behold we showed up when I put our receipt number in and we are also approved! I wish you all much luck, and never lose hope -- it will happen!

Thanks for listening to me in my struggles and helping me through this difficult time.

Off to the next step!

We hear from the lawyer today!!!!! Woot!!!

He was right

Judge handed down a court order stating that USCIS must come to a conclusion with our case within 30days (which would be the 15th of August by my calculations) otherwise they will be in contempt of court and someone gets to head to the big house for a while.

So Chris has for the 3rd time put together our Package again and is fedexing it off to the Lawyer to give to USCIS tomorrow, hopefully they will have it sorted soon, I'm excited that we feel like we are moving, sad that they didn't just hand us the NOA2 though, however I think I can finally honestly say there might be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Our Lawyer plans to help push it through NVC and the Sydney Embassy too, so hopefully November will be home time for good, well shall see. On the positive it means on this trip we can prepare packet 3 and I can bring all that stuff home with me.

Thank you all for your well wishes, our Lawyer got the package today and sent it off to USCIS, he doesn't seem to think it will take the whole 30 days that the court has given them :) I hope he is right!

:wow: Mara your attorney is no joke!!! I am so happy there are a few who take their job seriously.

In the meantime:

He said .. . ... I don't know why you wear a bra; you've got nothing to put in it. She said .. .. You wear pants don't you?

He said .. . .Shall we try swapping positions tonight?

She said . . That's a good idea - you stand by the ironing board while I sit on the sofa.

He said . . .. What have you been doing with all the grocery money I gave you?

She said . Turn sideways and look in the mirror!

On a wall in a ladies room . .. "My husband follows me everywhere" Written just below it . " I do not"

Q.How many honest, intelligent, caring men in the world does it take to do the dishes?

A.Both of them.

Q.How does a man show that he is planning for the future?

A.He buys two cases of beer.

Q.What is the difference between men and government bonds?

A.The bonds mature.

Q..Why are blonde jokes so short?

A.So men can remember them.

QHow many men does it take to change a roll of toilet paper?

A.We don't know; it has never happened..

Q.What do you call a woman who knows where her husband is every night?

A.. A widow.

Q.Why are married women heavier than single women?

A.Single women come home, see what's in the fridge and go to bed. Married women come home, see what's in bed and go to the fridge.

Q.What is the one thing that all men at singles bars have in common?

A.They're married.

As promised if this all works then I will :) but if something falls through in it and it doesn't work then I don't want you flushing more cash down the drain on lawyers :(

But at the moment it is looking positive.

Cuchita - I damn well hope so :)
