Hi Sara and everyone else in this club. :energy: I didn't have any jokes lately (shame on me), but here you go:

THE ESCAPEE:

A man escapes from a prison where he's been locked up for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns.

Inside, he finds a young married couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair.

While tying the home owner's wife to the bed, the convict gets on top of her, kisses her neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom.

While he's in there, the husband whispers over to his wife: 'Listen, this guy is an escaped convict. Look at his clothes! He's probably spent a lot of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain ... do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is obviously very dangerous. If he gets angry, he'll kill us both. Be strong, honey. I love you!'

His wife responds: 'He wasn't kissing my neck - he was whispering in my ear. He told me that he's gay, thinks you're cute, and asked if we had any Vaseline. I told him it was in the bathroom. Be strong. I love you, too.'

Hi, 6 month waiting club,

Were any of you told useful information at an infopass appointment?

I'm trying to decide whether it's worth driving 40 minutes each way tomorrow for one.

My fiance was told the date when we were assigned to an officer, and that since that date, we will wait like 6-8 weeks for NOA2. It wasn't true. The officer was assigned in December 2008, and NOA2 came 4 months later.

US Citizen since 08/11/2015.

I Called CSC Twice on Tuesday. Below are excerpts of my conversation:

“How can I assist you?"

“Yes, I filed seven months ago and I have not heard anything from USCIS. I am curious to know what is going on."

"Give me your receipt number and I can look up"

" EACxxxxxxxxxxxx"

"Did you not get the letter sent on May 7?"

My heart sank. I have been checking my mailbox religiously. My post office is known to deliver mails to other residents in the same building. Scenes of past such occurrences started flashing in my head. All I could say was, “what?”

"Officer sent you letter in May"

I came to my senses and asnwerd in negative that I had not received anything from any officer.

She says, “Your case is pending. It was transferred from Virginia"

“Excuse me!! I am not aware of any Service center in VA. Must be Vermont”

“Vermont or Virginia, oh I don’t know, but your case is pending”

"I know that, but would be nice to know if it is assigned to any officer"

"We have 100s of officers and Millions of applications like yours"

“Ma’m, I am talking about my case, not millions of cases. I like to know if my case has been assigned to an officer.”

Applications get assigned to officers when the time comes”

You mean my application is still in the shelves. On the filer

Yes, your case is on the first floor. I am on the 7 floor and this building has many more floors above me.

Thank you for that information but please tell me if my case is assigned to an officer

Applications get assigned to different officers at different times and stages. Which officer are you talking about?

I don’t know the officer myself. But I called on May 6th and a person at your officer told me it was assigned to an officer and is not on the shelves anymore. But, you are telling me my file is on the filer.

Immigration officers pick up the files from their buckets when they have time.

Ok, how about my child’s application. I filed both together

Give me the receipt and I will look on the system

Oh that file is bundled with the other one. Both of them are together. They were assigned to an officer 2 months ago.

Really

Yes, but I have not heard anything back for two months

Well, they are doing background check

What, background check on whom? Me? I am citizen, just acquired and went through all sort of background checks

Every application goes through the check

At this point I was getting amused by her responses. So I asked, “how do you do background check on 2 yrs old child.

Every beneficiary must go through background check, even children.

Children before the age of 16

Yes.

That convinced me she was giving me bs. So I promptly thanked her and hung up.

I will post the second part " Why You all Give me 20 Different answers to my One Simple Questions?" Next

thanks for reading.

Sara, I read you story and timeline. and all the efforts you have put into it. I applaude your persistense in the matter. you are the bravest of all...

I sometimes wonder what Michelle Obama does in the White house besides rearing her Kids.

So that makes me think something. Why dont we all 6 months past Get together some sort of affidavit or letter of dissent or something and sign and send it to her asking for Help. i know mr. Obama is too busy going around the world and he has bigger issues to deal with (??). But if they dont take care of us then who will ?

This i thought may be the last resort we have.

I second your Motion!

but I would add, that we were made a promise, a promise of "transparency", that is transparency in government.... enough of the lies and deceit given by the call center, it's time for change, and action! There is NO reason to make someone wait without good reason such as Sara.

im more then willing to help, i have faxed my case and called the white house myself maybe a week or two ago and have had no response but, if more of us do this based on the fact that there are many that are out of the time they say it takes to adjudicated the petition, maybe then they will set up and say wow there is a need to change this worn out broken machine.

I work for an energy company & get a discount on gas, so it wasn't too expensive.

That 20 answers story was disappointing. The person answering that call seemed especially incompetent.
