It seems that our service request was really taken by the girl on the phone. She even gave my fiance the number of it. Maybe she is a new worker and doesn't know that she would have been given us another month to wait?

Wow I didn't know about this. We're in our 7th month of waiting. My fiance called last month but they only told him that they're doing things in order and we're just going to have to wait. Should we try calling again?

sorry, dont know your story, have u contacted ur congressman? they got right back to me and soon after we got approved...not sure if they had anything to do with it...but cant hurt.

We got approved a little after 7 months. I wish u all the best! I know this is agony! Stay strong! You'll get it soon! (F)

Thanks.

This whole thing is frustrating but I'm sure its all worth it.

Hi Akiko,

So sorry to see that you are still waiting for NOA2. I remember comparing notes with you, since we started our time lines at identical times: You sent your I-129F on Sep 6 and was received at CSC on Sep 11. We sent ours (also to CSC) on Sep 5, received on Sep 10. If they told you that they are processing files "in order", well that CLEARLY is untrue, and so unfair to think that people well into 2009 are getting approved while you are waiting (that goes for all the 6+ month-ers here, of course!)

You will get approved. And your case will move forward. Don't lose heart!

Thank you so much for the encouragement and support!

We just got ours approved on the 16th and my fiance received the NOA2 on the 20th.

I just things speed up from here on, although they take forever for everything...

Best wishes for you from here on.

April 20, 2009 - NOA2 hard copy received.

April 21, 2009 - Case sent to U.S. embassy in Japan.

May 8, 2009 - Police Certificate requested.

May 19, 2009 - Police Certificate received.

May 21, 2009 - Packet 3 received!

May 22, 2009 - Packet 3 sent.

Thank you sooo much everybody.

Good luck to those who still haven't gotten approvals. It'll come when you least expect it.

Also good luck to those who have gotten approvals but not the visa yet... we're almost there!

Well, people, I am happy to inform you that officially we are out of this club, as of April 22 2009 !!!:dance::dance::dance:

It was a loooooong journey (10 months) and it was no piece of cake! Last night at aprox 4 am when my fiance called to give me the news I was not sure if I was dreaming, or it was for real. I had to turn the pc on, and check it our for myself.

So, besides the fact that they signed for receiving the RFE on April 3rd and they say in an e-mail they received it April 15th, I am quite happy.

Question: what next? How do I keep track of things with NVC ? (Gee, I thought I would never get to ask this!)

US Citizen since 08/11/2015.

Hey Oana31, I'm glad to see your petition got approved. I hope things go better for you now that you are out of USCIS.

I was also curious, what did they send you an RFE for?

(they seemed to send the RFE late for you - at 8 or 9 months)
