By all means, start your job search a couple of weeks ahead of EAD arrival.

I think you shouls start looking for a job now or at least see what is out there, before I got my EAD I had my resume ready and then looked at some places where to work and as soon I got my EAD start.

You can start applying for jobs now although you haven't received your EAD. You just need to tell your potential employers that you won't be able to work until you receive your EAD.
