We have all mail voting in our county. I already voted.

I'd like for them to go to online voting...but it won't ever happen. Wouldn't mind mail-in voting for other than absentee voting.

good for all the fine americans who voted and will vote often...

There, fixed that for you, brought to you by the Chicago Vote Early Vote Often Alliance :D

In our area, there are polling locations within neighborhoods, usually within a mile from where we've lived. The last couple of times I voted, there was really no waiting time and the polling place had at at least 5 people working there. We live nearby a retirement community, but I'm pretty sure their polling place is right there where they live as many of them don't own a car.

I mailed in my ballot on Monday. I have to work on election day and my commute is over 50 miles one way. I'll be interested to hear what the wait times at the polling places in LA are like compared to OC.

My parents can vote early here since they are seniors. They both got their votes in already, and they're signed up to help transport people on Election Day. I'm eager to see if there's a line when the polls open at 7 am.

I won't be taking anyone to the polls but will be working the polls on the 4th. It is a fun way to watch our voting process. I am a little more fortunate than most poll workers because I am a coordinator so drive around to several polling places resolving problems. I really recommend everyone volunteering to work the polls at least once in their life.

I want to vote early, but the only early polling place is 30 minutes away and only open on Mondays  Oh well, I'll just wait in line for a while on Nov. 4th. At least I can walk to that polling place!

My step-father is an election judge and he always has interesting stories. I'd like to do it some time, but they aren't real organized about telling you when they need you to come in for training ahead of time. And that is madatory here each year even if you've worked the polls before.

All mail voting here too. I already voted as well.

While I don't mind all mail in voting I wish we had a choice to actually go to a polling place and cast our vote. I enjoyed the symbolism of "casting your vote" plus you knew that your vote was accounted for. With the whole mail in thing you never really know if your ballot arrived at the right place and didn't get mixed in somewhere or lost.

Me, too, i voted this week... with an absentee ballot.

But it was a little anti-climatic, just dropping it in the mail... much more fun in person.

I commend you on your help, sir almaty. I wouldn't do the same as I feel anyone who registered should have a polling place close enough to be in walking distance or a short drive, and should have the motivation to get there, themselves. That doesn't include the option of absentee.

That's something that's gone through my mind with the early voting.... hoping that the ballots don't get put in someone's car to be taken to another facility or something and then left in the car... lol

I work for the county and they encourage us to volunteer. It is a lot of fun and very interesting but also a very long day, from 5:30am until about 9 or 10pm.

I wonder if there are any political big mouths here that aren't voting? Assuming than are eligible to vote.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills.
