Hi everyone i am new posting things on here but often come and read peoples posts which i find helpful,

i am wondering when people have on their timelines "touched" what do they mean by this and how do you find it out?

I am a uk citizen and my hubby is USC, we filed an i-130 and an i-129f (although my husband thinks we should of just done the i-130 as they seem to be going at the same speed, but i thought i would rather do both instead of always wondering what if)

we did not put any proof of bonafide marriage in the i-130 pack apart from the marriage certificate as he thought we just show that at a later stage. Do you think this may cause problems for us?

also although i am a uk citizen our wedding was in another country not UK or US actually in the middle east, i understand my interview for the k3 will have to be done in the country where the marriage took place, i did contact the london embassy to see if they would accept carrying it out there instead but they just ignored me.

Does anyone think our case may take longer because of these issues?? I am worried :(

Any other tips would be much appreciated

Thankyou

When you register with the USCIS website you may see a date change on your status page. This is a 'touch

when you check your petition on the USCIS website, it will have a "Last Updated" date. Any dates after your submission where it has a later "Last Updated" date while still pending is a

Keep in mind,a touch can mean anything or nothing. It simply means your file was picked up and looked at and/or moved to a new location

well maybe it will be a problem cause The USCIS now requires that when filing an I-130 for a spouse that you include evidence of a bonifide marriage.

from my understanding the interview will be in the Beneficiaries country not in the country where you got married . i could be wrong

Hi! Yes, K3 interview is in the country where you got married, but the CR1 interview is in the country where you live. We got married in Portugal, we were living in France, so my K3 was sent to Lisbon and my CR1 to Paris  . Don't worry, you can change the embassies with NVC once you're approved (if you decide to go with K3). We had to wait one ENTIRE month to change our embassy, and to get another case number  .

Mi advice: if your K3 is approved and sent to onother country, don't think twice: go with CR1, because you would waste a LOT of time just to change the embassy for the K3. In that case CR1 would be quicker and cheaper.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter where you got married, you need Beneficiaries country embassy.

You husband should send everything from his adress of living in USA and you will go to interview in your country (it's UK, London, as I understood)
