Am not real sure of the requirements for the person (myself) that is going to a K1 Interview.

Is there a certain amount of money you should have before they grant you the K1 Visa?

Your fiance is applying a FIANCE VISA for you not a VISIT VISA, so you dont have to worry about your financial issues.. However your fiance should able to support you by having an Affidavit of Support that he is above proverty level to be sponsor.

Are you talking about the filing fee ?

The OP may pssibly be refering to self-sponsorship. That being the case, well, it seems to vary. I know of one person who self-sponsored with £9000 via the UK embassy, for example.

If the OP is asking the question more generally, than the reply re the poverty line is correct. If it's just the two of you, then I believe the petitioner has be earning a minimun of $18,000. If the beneficiary isn't making the minimum required, then you need to enlist a co-sponsor (very common).

they will not ask you about the money you have at the interview

your fiance should able to support you by having an Affidavit of Support so it doesn't matter if you have some money or not in your bank

Good luck and my best wishes for you

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

Goonluka is in fact the "visa applicant". The USC "petitioned" for the foreign fiance(e)'s right to apply. That said, it is the petitioners finances that are important for any K visa. The visa applicant's finances are of no concern.

Except in rare consulates such as London (indeed may be others) where "self-sponsorship" is possible.

Self-sponsorship is also possible in Sweden, they didn't even want the I-134 even though I brought it to the interview. Mabye that is also the case in other countries than England and Sweden?
