Just wanted to share our biometrics experience at ASC Birmingham today.

We were scheduled for 12 PM but since we left Dothan very early, we got to Birmingham at 10:30 AM. I went inside at 11 AM. Filled the form and got a number. Was called at a little after 12 and the lady was really nice. I was done in no time.

Oh btw, I'm using my married name for my AOS but since my passport is still in my maiden name and I don't have any other ID in the married name, I just bring my original marriage certificate (& copy), which they only looked at.

Hopefully, we'll get that interview letter ASAP. :D

Hi OyenJames,

Congrats on your biometrics!

I'm curious though, can you travel outside the USA with your current foreign passport, or do you have to change your foreign passport to your married name?

Thanks,

-Tom

Hello.

I got my biometrics today at San Francisco Office, too.

My appoint was 2pm and I went there at 1:45.

There were tons of waiting people.

Before entering the office, they checked my picture ID(maiden name),marriage license and appoint notice receipt. They also gave me form to fill in (SS#, A# etc...)

One hour later, a reception woman called my number to prepare. She checked the ID and marriage license, receipt again and checked my hand also. And then, she stamped the receipt and the form.

Another 30 min later, a man called my number to take biometrics and photo. It just took 10-15min.

My friend, took biometrics in SF last week, told me that she was waiting only 10 min.

Because after holiday, it took longer than ususally, I guess.

Sounds like a few people had biometrics done today.

I guess I got really lucky, as I was the only one in the office the whole time. My appointment was at 10am and I got there at 9:40 and they did them right away.

The whole process took about 30 mins. I did have a small cut on one of my fingers (a result of weeding a flower bed with a horribly thorny rose bush in - Dont know why on earth i thought it would be a good idea to weed a flower bed without gloves 2 days before biometrics!!!!!!!!), anyway, they said it was ok, and they could see the part of the finger prints that they needed.

I only had the appointment letter for I-485 even though I filed the i-765 at the same time, but they did both biometrics anyway which will save me from having to go back again.

The people were really friendly and overall it was a pleasant experience.

Hope we all get our interview letters asap.

I also had my interview yesterday, but mine was in Charleston, South Carolina. I'm from Georgia, so we had to ride for about 3 hours and a half. Many people asked me why not having it in Atlanta, but I don't know what to say. ;)

Anyway, after I had my fingerprints and picture taken the woman said "You're done. Your EAD should arrive in the mail in 10-14 days." I was kinda surprised because I didn't ask anything about it; anyone else had this experience? Should I believe or this is not for sure?

Thank You!!!! :star:
