Was approved on Sept 9, recieved notice from NVC dated Sept 17. But I have not recieved my packet yet.

Has it been too long or should I wait longer?

What should I do?

Thank you.

I would wait a little longer- you can call the Ciudad Juarez consulate (costs a lot though...) and ask them if they have mailed out the packet of information yet. Have you checked with the NVC as to when they sent your petition to Ciudad Juarez? I (USC) got the packet 3 about a month after it arrived at the NVC and my fiance (Mexican) got it about 2-3 weeks after I did.

I would say first call the NVC (it's cheaper) and ask when they sent the petition off to CDJ.

Our NVC was sent to the consulate on Sept. 24th and arrived there on the 25th. I called Juarez this morning to check whether they sent the Packet 3 and invitation letter. They told me 2-3 weeks more and that the information would be sent to my attorney in the US and not to my fiance in Mexico. I really hope to have my sweetheart here before Christmas :star:

If the NVC approved your petition around Sept. 17th, you should be getting your Packet from Juarez very soon!

Good luck!!!

Okay, thank you. I will wait another month then before freaking out...lol

Yes, you need to be a little more patient. They do take their sweet time. Just so you know, my husband received the packet AFTER his interview date. He was already in the US when his mom calls us letting us know that he had received a packet. The packet comes from Texas, so that's why we the USC get the packet a little sooner in the US. It does take long to receive, but I would call the embassy in a couple of weeks to ask them if your interview has been scheduled. I found out about our interview over the phone, so we prepared ahead of time, before we got the packet. GOOD LUCK!

But I though CDJ Fiance Interviews were open, as in just show up with your papers any day of the week. Yes or no?

Can I show up without the Packet that hasn't arrived yet?

My NOA2 says I have until Jan 8 to get my interview done. What if my packet doesn't arrive before then?
