Right now USCIS is transitioning from 4 service center system to dedicated service center for N400 processing.

They used to let 4 regional service centers - Vermont Service Center, Nebraska Service Center, Texas Service Center, California Service Center - to process each region's N400 cases, but recently they have dedicated service center for N400 regardless regions.

That's what they called "National Benefit Center", but it was basically Missouri Service Center.

So they may be slight delay for administrative transition.

That's the reason why you don't get FP appointment letter yet.

For 540 days, it is usual message.

Actual processing time is usually shorter than that.

For your comport, USCIS doesn't give much time for actual fingerprint and/or interview.

They may try to give us some surprise, but when you receive the notice, it will be one week or 10 days time until actual appointment or something like that.

So be prepared for surprise appointment at any time.

Ours said we would be notified within 120 days. We got the interview notice after only about 45 days.

We had about a 3 day notice before the biometrics appointment.

We had about a 6 week notice before the interview.

Cheers!

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

Ours from Nebraska said 288 days, okay, no big deal, already went through hell with the I-751 and renewing a foreign passport that is not exactly easy to do if you are no longer living there.

Biometrics came in under two weeks, interview notice in about 75 days, and oath ceremony was done 60 days before the 288 day wait time. A lot depends upon your field office, hear New York is very slow. What ever happen to flavor of summer, or summer flavor, or whatever her handle was?

You can't send in enough evidence of marriage, extra delays are caused by that, some have two A#'s or two files, those are apparently not the fault of the applicant, but still have to wait and wait and wait.
