Home Office intervention

Ok, began process March, interview and medical August, the most info we've had has been by reuqest from washington. Last told case had gone to CDC depite the fact I have no communicable diseases. Told the CDC are usually quick. Now told the CDC have had the case for a month. Again this is all after hounding Washington, London won't say diddly squat.

For all I know I could be sitting here spreading a disease around that I don't know I have and they haven't said doody!

My question.... What would the rammifications be of me contacting the Home Office and having them demand my passport be returned as I now feel I am being held captive and returning to the states now while the visa process continues?

Wow, I have no idea what you should do. If you're looking for suggestions...what about contacting an attorney? Demanding your passport returned might get SOME movement on your case, because I'm thinking that if you had some communicable disease, surely they wouldn't give it back to you in case you did return to the US...if that's what they're concerned about. I would also be calling the Dr. that did the medical and advising what they put down on your papers that would necessitate them sending your case to CDC! If you did have some "disease", wouldn't the Dr. have some ethical responsibility to TELL you what it is???
