WOOHOO, GO ONEKEA. WOHOO, WOHOO.

:dance::dance::dance:

I'm so relieved that part is over...now I just need an interview date...

It will be here faster than you think and then once you get close to the time, the days drag on forever. :star:

That's how i feel right now. It's like it's taking forever for the time to come. Michael is going for his medical on Monday and then ofcours his interview is the following Monday. It jsut seems to be taking forever. I want to be calm but the more it drags on, it's dragging on my nerves.

Can you believe its pretty much already February? I can't wait for the next two weeks pass...hopefully NVC will have my date and you will have some good news to share. I'm praying for you.

Hey Onekea,

Medical done. Just waiting for Monday. The actual exam cost almost 40 thousand as he had to have some shots done. Don't worry, you will have your date next week. It will be so exciting when you get it. I hope to have good news. I keep praying, praying, praying. We will be fine by God's Grace. With him anything is possible.

I created a whole folder of evidence and divided it into sections, photographs, phone cards, child, visits, cards and letters. Hopefully after talking to him and seeing all the work i put into that folder, they will know our relationship is sincere and wont' request a second interview. I dont think i can handle it if they do. We have gone through too much already.

Where is Nikita? I have not seen her post anything in a while.

How are you ladies doing? Sorry that I not been posting for awhile. I am very happy for you Mrs. Rowe you husband will be home shortly. Oneka by gods' grace you will have an interview for March. As for me my news is not so great my case is being sent back to CIS. Trying to weigh my options. One attorney told me it is easier to refile the case. No sure what I am going to do as yet. Anyway you are all in my prayers. I choose to believe that there is a reason for whatever I may have to go thru...with that in mind I will do all that I can to bring my husband home its not easy on either of us the man is :crying: like a baby. I know that he is very disappointed as I am but we will get thru this. You all be blessed. I will keep you both in my prayers.

Aww, i am sorry that you are going through this. I will pray for you. Don't give up. Refile if you have to just dont give up.

I will not give up I emailed the embassy yesterday a young lady explained why the package was being returned. I will wait to hear from CIS. I will not give up because he is my husband and as the vows go for better of for worst this is just a bump in the road and we will cross it. I want to thank you ladies for your words of encouragement and for keeping us in your prayers as you both are in mine...

I agree with Oneka...Tell him to answer all the questions even the one that he may think is too personal because the Officer has your life story sitting infront of him on the computer. Let me share what they sent me in the email so that you will see exactly what I am saying.

Your petition is being returned to the Department of Homeland Security because the applicant was unable to establish that his marriage is not solely for immigration purposes. This case has already been reviewed by a senior Consular Officer and a decision has been made. The case will be further reviewed by the Department of Homeland Security and they will make the final decision. The beneficiary will be notified in writing when the case is dispatched.

I am sharing this because I don't want any of you to be where I am right now.

Thanks Nikita..I really do appreciate you sharing with us. Did you go the interview?

Just a little something to share:

My husband ran into a guy the other day. Never met him before in his life, but this guy proceeds to tell him about his embassy experience, not even knowing that my husband is going through the same thing. Well anyway, the guy told my husband that they asked him all kinds of personal questions and it got to the point that he wsa tired of answering that type of question and maybe showed or let it be known that he didnt want to answer. Well this guy was denied for a fiance visa. They say he did not prove his relationship with the petitioner or something like that.

So to Mrs. Rowe, please make sure your husband is calm, confident, and answers all of the questions. From what you say about him, I figure he is already like this, but make sure he answers those questions.

Nikita I pray that the final decision is the opposite of what u got in that email.

God Bless

You are most welcome Mrs. Rowe. Oneka I was there but I knew from the last question I as asked by the Officer something was going on in his head, but I know that the final decision isn't his it up to CIS...so as you rightfully say I am just hoping and praying that it is returned to Guyana for the issuance of the visa. I am not the kind of person that roll over and play dead...I have dealt with worst set backs and come out of it triumphantly. PRAISES TO THE MOST HIGH FOR HE ALWAYS CARRIES ME WHEN I AM TIRED AND FEELING ALONE...

Well I really don't know what exactly they look for during these interviews. At the story People tell you is so amazing its unbelievable. A friend of mine said that during her interview last month that is F1 all she was asked is the name of her fiance, his address and phone number and yea where he worked . Nothing else and her visa was in her hands by the next day. They are so difficult to read.

Wow! See thats what I'm saying...you never know what you will get. It sounds like she was approved before she even got there. My cousin's interview was simple too...it was a few years ago. She was the petitioner but she went to the interview with her fiance and his son. She said they were just talking and playing tick tack toe and her stepson was sitting in her lap. By the time they got called up they only ask them how they met, what were his plans for the future, and how the relationship was with her and his son. Now my other cousin....that's another story...she was denied a few years ago and he's still not here...that's because of their own mistakes though.

WHC are you going down for the interview when the time comes?

I have spoken to a co-worker who used to work in an embassy as a visa interviewer. She put it correctly, she said it depends on what kind of day the interviewer is having or the type of person they are. She said to just make sure that all your papers are well organized and like everyone said, just be confident when they ask questions. Don't get upset or offended cause it only causes problems. Most of the time, they know if you are approved before they call you up for the interview. Some cases will be simple while some will require futher questioning. I have organized a folder of evidence for my husband and i should have taken pictures of it to give others ideas but this is what i did.

I used a folder with a clear cover and created a cover for it that included our case number, applicant name, date and time of interview. Inside of that, the first page is a letter written by me, explaining all that is in the folder and a little something about our daughter needing her father, blah, blah blah. Then i divided the folder into sections, photographs, phone cards, money transfers, child, visits. I explained what was in each section. In the section for child, i had our daughter's birth certificate, a letter from my doctor stating on or around when she was concieved, which coincides with my visit to Guyana and her offering up certificate which lists my husband as her father. In visits section, i included passport stamps and ticket stubs and boarding passes. I could not fit the cards and letters in the folder, so i sent two manilla envelopes, one with cards and letters sent to me by him and another for cards and letters sent to him by me. In the photographs section, i simply pasted the photographs and plain paper with tape and labeled each one and i did it chronologically. I had pictures from when i visited to our engagement party to pictures of my sonogram when i was pregnant, to the wedding and then pictures of our daughter with him, with her brothers and they all look so much alike that i hope they can see. So that's how we did it. I just wanted to be organized. Let's just all pray for each other. With God anything is possible. :star:

I organized a folder just like this and left it with my husband when I was in Guyana in Dec. I am continuing to gather things to put in the folder when I go down for the interview.

Well MrsRowe...your day is almost here. Just wanted to let you know that I am praying for your family. (F)
