I'm leaving on March 1. No need to be jealous...I see approvals coming sooner now so hopefully you won't have to wait 9 months like I did. You'll be in Guyana or your hubby will be here before you know it. I still can't believe we've been married almost a year already.

Did you guys see USCIS updated their processing times? Now it's 6 months for I-130. So yes, for a split second I was hopeful that he would be here for christmas this year but I'm not getting my hopes up like I did last time. It's too hurtful when it doesn't come through.

Good luck honey - We're going to be praying for you two.

I take those updates with a grain of salt cause i always felt like they are just to appease us but it's good that the time has been reduced. That wait time last year was atrocious. Geeze. Dont' worry Suz, it will be done sooner than you think. :star:

Don't worry ladies. I know it's hard but believe me, you will see the finish line too. I won't leave you guys either. I don't think that we Guyanese help each other enough through the process. I don't intend to be one of those that dissappear after we are done. I will pray for all of us.

Maleena - one our fellow VJ'ers - got her I-130 approved in 97 days at CSC!!!

Question for you guys - do you think I made a mistake in filing for a the K3 instead of just the CR1? I had to send in a waiver for the I-129F because this would have been my second one in less than two years. A lawyer had told me last year when we got denied for the K1 that I should get married and file for the K3. That's what I did. But now I'm not so sure if I did the right thing or not. What do you all think?

The embassy had said in the letter that they sent to Mun that the refusal was based on the fact that they do not believe that he and I would have gotten married within the 90 days of his arrival in the states. Well we got married and I filed for his K3. I don't know - lots of doubt right now. I'm making myself crazy! Lawd help me!

It doesn't matter. What matters is that you are married and you filed for your husband. Either way, you have a choice to follow the I-130 route or the K3 route once at NVC, i believe. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just pray. God can work miracles that will amaze you. Believe in him. You will be fine.

Okay, DNA testing is done ladies. It was sent back to the embassy via fedex yesterday. They should have it by Friday. I am hoping that they will give my husband his visa next week and we can put this whole thing behind us.

How many days do you all think i should give the embassy before i call them? The results are out for delivery and will definitely be delivered today. I dont' want to wait more than 4 or 5 business days to call but i don't want to irritate them and have them sit on our case. What do you all think?
