Not so sure you really want to know what really goes on at the embassy in Guyana. Some of the questions the immigration officer ask is very personal, which make you feel very dirty having to discuss your private life with these total strangers...but we get thru it for the sake of our love ones. I am do remember my time line dates exact I can only remember as far back as when the case was completed at NVC.

****TIME LINE AS I RECALL****

Case complted at NVC: April 21st, 2008

Interviewed: October 1st, 2008

Guyana seems to be putting a lot of people in AP. I am a bit worried about that but i am sending my husband in with lots of evidence so i am having hope. I just think that if we had more feedback, we could get an idea as to what they are looking for. I think a lot of us are so afraid we don't even talk about it but if we had feedback, we could have a better idea.

We may have to go thru to get through but my motto is "God" is the Alpha and the Omega no matter what they may put us thru we will all be united with our spouses. Our creator know that all of us here married our spouses for love and with that love he will see us thru. Anyway, way may not have to go thru that for every case is different. The waiting time to get an interview was a long 6 months and I only received that after I had spoken with my congressman and his office did some inquiries. God speed to all all....

As you can see by my timeline, we are now just waiting for the last package to send off and then we are on to the interview as well. If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to help with what I can. It has been a very long process, but well worth the wait!!!

Thank you for your responses guys. I jut want to see us all stop being so afraid of the process. I am afraid of the process myself but the reason we are afraid is because we dont' know. If we knew, we could actually know what to do to face it. Let's keep it up.

Hello Everyone.

Hope all is well. Any good news/progress/updates on your cases?

Not me....Still at VSC. :crying:

Good luck to all

So sorry. VSC is very slow. Ours was there for months before being transferred to California where it was approved very quickly. I hope you get approved soon. My husband is picking up his Clearance today and will mail in his documents this afternoon, so we are finally making progress. I just hope they accept the DS230 with no problems.

Thanks. I hope so too. I'm trying to keep myself busy so I'm not focusing on it too much. I actually just booked a flight to spend the whole month of Dec with my honey so I am excited  Hopefully I'll hear something by the time I come back. Glad to hear about the progress. Good luck. I hope u hear case complete really soon.

i hope things move along for u guys...just when u think u've waited forever there is someone waiting longer

Thanks.

This is true...there are still many people that filed months before me that are still waiting for an approval. I'm trying to not focus on the negative and I'm just gonna use the wait time to prepare things for when we are finally together for good.

Migrating from Guyana is a very long process...when you start out you are given between 9 to 12 months before your case in completed including the interview. Now that is the joke of the day!! for it is nothing like that. What we all have to do is take those figures out of our heads and keep on pray for each other for our father is our help in every need.
