I agree they are my words and I don't understand why you had to interpret the way you did. Anyways I would encourage you to see this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/250107-express-mail-via-usps/

Same old song and dance - where to send it ? It's in the instructions and on the uscis forms portal. It's not confusing. That post is 'yet another post' about not understanding the instructions. And that's OK. Lots of ppl to help suss it out, no worries !

Thanks for the encouragement !! Not Needed ! (But I did read the thread, sorry, is same old problem, ppl not understand about sending stuff )

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Does it matter wether you use USPS or UPS/FedEx? Just the address changes, but does USCIS care?

it doesn't matter what you use, no. There is not ONE BEST/BETTER method to use.

But you SHOULD take note of EXPECTATIONS, ya ?

If you send in a package requiring signature , to the PO BOX address, it will get there, but EXPECT a delay - as the LockBox Boy doesn't show up each day to sign the 'signature required ' stuff. He's not supposed to, it's just a general delivery point. Oh, he'll get a few hundred of the postal notices for signature - and then you can EXPECT that when he has a pile in hand, he'll go IN to the postal worker's office, slap down a stack o signature-required-forms, and say, 'Hey - Give me this weeks pile o mail from the ppl who didn't understand signature confirmation'

If you send in a package requiring signature, to the COURIER address, you should EXPECT the LockBox Boy to actually sign for it, as he's there waiting for the USPS Postal Clerk (who probably knows him or her by name - mailroom geeks and postal couriers are usually big buddy buddy)

IMO, best way, is PRIORITY MAIL - which includes tracking and delivery confirmation, to the PO BOX address - NO SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION to be paid for - and then you CAN EXPECT no delay at the mailroom in Chicago. Plus you have tracking info. Plus you have a confirmation of the delivery.

Many ppl hate USPS - so they use FEDEX or UPS, to the courier address.

Remember - don't lower your expectations, ya ?

YAY ! I'm excited ! Welcome to VJ - it's been a fun 24 hours, so far, yes? You made a personal choice to revive a thread that had been 'dead' almost 2 years. I get it, really.

But seriously, to anyone reading this - read the instructions, make sure you have the CURRENT INSTRUCTIONS, either from current forms or from the USCIS forms portal - as the address does change, over time. This is a 'known thing', but for many, is unknown, as this 'address issue' gets confusing.

It shouldn't be confusing. The instructions are clear.

I already agreed that I posted at an old thread.

But p..... like you do not understand the ISSUE at all. You think you are the only one who UNDERSTOOD the instructions ..and trying to lecture people! Looks like you are jobless person who wants to publicize your ego on a helpful site like this. And it is working.. People are knowing who you are! Don't tell me you own the site!

I really hope there are less pranks out there in the VJ like Darnell!

I have things to do..do not prolong this! "ya"?

So with PRIORITY mail it will get there and will not need a signature - GOOD

With UPS/FedEx to the COURIER address it will require a signature, but the LockBoy will be there - GOOD

Anything else - BAD

Is that right?

Any permutation to the PO Box requiring a signature, BAD.

Words have meaning - especially these words --> Looks like this topic is really confusing with different opinions and they were YOUR words. Trust me - I NEVER take this stuff personally. EVER. I'm the same ol cranky curmudgeon to all.

If you read my words, as well, hopefully the confusion can be cleared.

If not, let me know ?

Happy to Help !

omg..i think i know now the reason why until now we havent heard from USCIS regarding the I 130 application we mailed last june 16....we mailed it to this address since we use couriers/express delivery (thinking this is the right address for that)

USCIS

Attn: FBAS

131 South Dearborn- 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

but now i check on the USCIS web site it says there it should be mailed to this address:

Any U.S. resident petitioner submitting a completed stand alone I-130 by courier/express delivery, should use the following address:

USCIS Lockbox

Attn: SAI-130

131 South Dearborn – 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

oh my....what should i do now....i tried calling the 1800 number but i cant contact them here in manila...i also tried the 7853301048 number to call if ur in the philippines,..but its not accessible according to the automated voice on the phone....
