A US man arrested for reckless driving in Connecticut told police Beyonce was waiting for him in New York.

The 33-year-old man, from Michigan, was detained after driving in a 'reckless manner' and nearly crashing into a parked patrol car, reports Metro.

Police spokesman Vaughan Dumas said police found a teddy bear and flowers inside his car, which the man explained were meant for the singer.

He told the officers that he was on his way to meet Beyonce at the George Washington Bridge in New York.

The man reportedly refused to leave his car when ordered, and asked police for directions to Detroit before suddenly driving off again.

He was arrested a few minutes later and charged with reckless driving, speeding, interfering with an officer, failure to obey an officer's signal and failure to obey a stop sign.

He was released on $5,000 bail and taken to a local hospital for observation.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
