Well, let's all go back to the history of the Philippines... We are hot and very much appealing to all of you. You made us this way, remember? Subic, Olongapo, all the others? Awwww, don't be too sensitive now. The Philippines is this way because we have been ripped off by the US. Check the history books dude, so you know what we educated Filipinas are talking about.

Oh no... I remember you're not educated. Oh well, so much for that. You bring your sore little soul somewhere. You are too low for me and my sisters.

You think the US is to blame for the Philippines?

Have many kids does the average Philippino have again?

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

They can still export their women.

That is uncalled for and very much below the belt. Think before you let your mouth loose. I take offense.

Truth hurts, huh?

Offense noted, and then tossed to the side. Stay out of OT newbie, if you can't handle it.

And what, Cherry Blossoms, along with all the other thousands of sites featuring Filipino women are just "pen pal" sites?

Give me a friggen break!

Oh! Thailand is the AIDS capital of Asia. So looks like they are exporting AIDS now too?

It is China - but Thailand is still the 2nd :crying:

That is unnessary anyway - It's a tragic situation, please show some class.

and i thought people here on visa journey are nice, not to mention some of the moderators (not all) oh well, i am so disappointed...

for those who look down on filipina, what a pity!

just because we dont have an office job does not mean we are not independent, i, for instance, dont have an office job because i work home-based and i earn my own money,

and oh the kitchen! and household chores! i can take care of all that and have my home-based job at the same time! multi-tasking is one of my specialty! i just love it when my husband praises me for being such!

I was high-lighting the fact that he won't let her get a specific type of job, doesn't have to be office based. Can be any sort of job. It's also pretty sad that she implies someone will lure her away from him just because she works in an office. That kinda implies office workers are loose. Oh my!

However it wants to be interpreted. I'd say there are trust issues...

I'm an office worker, certainly not loose, but I'd tell my OH where to stick it if he stopped me getting a job because he thought I would be 'lured away'.

It is definitely a BS excuse that he gives his "hot filipina wife" for not working, when it really does involve trust, and is also a control issue.

God forbid she go out and get Westernized by all you evil Western women!!!

i am pretty sure you got it wrong, thats not what she meant about the workers, even me and my husband sometimes joke about not having an office job because he is sooooooo afraid someone will steal me away from him, hehehe... my husband knows that i have a degree, and before he met me, i was living independently, when i get to the US, i know for sure that i will earn more than him IF HE WANTS ME TO WORK, but the thing is, he wants me to stay home and take care of him and everything, he is the head of the family and he wants to provide for me, which is totally fine, and i absolutely have no problem with that, now, if i want to have a job, its not gonna be a problem as long as i can take care of him and the house, i guess my point is, HE NEEDS ME AT HOME, i really dont have to work because he can provide for me,
