what is wrong with wanting to be a stay at home wife and or mother??

I have zero problems with women who work outside of the home...

I would be out of a job if all mothers stayed home

heaven forbid, then you might have to be a slave to your husband! :hehe:

I am pretty sure the "slave thing" was brought up by someone else first.... some people think stay at home wives are akin to slaves...

Like herself,

HEY I leave the door open for new ideas but she is not helping her cause at all by using that term.

do you really think she was being serious?? I think she was playing along with the notion of some people on this thread that think stay at home wive are slaves...

Why Do I Love To Cook?

I love to make people happy and amazingly enough nothing can put a big satisfied smile on someones face after a good hearty meal. That's why I love to cook.

It's all play as far as I'm concerned. Some people here categorize all Filipinas as hookers and so we respond along their line of thinking and then they don't realize that the joke is on them.

Around the world, only Georgia, Cambodia, Laos and the Philippines backed the Republican candidate.

Puleeeez. It's George Bush's puppet who backed John McSame not the Philippines. Majority of Filipinos do not necessarily agree with our government's policies.

I want to now how she is independant when her husband won't let her get an office job.

Correct your spelling. It's independent with an "e"

What is it about my post that you did not understand? It was written in perfect (I hope) English. Here, read it again.

Hubby could not afford me as I have more money than him. We met while I was on my 10th holiday to the US. He saw me on the plane and couldn't take his eyes off this financially independent Filipina.

If you still don't understand, here, I'll explain. I have cash sitting in the bank earning interest. I saved a decent amount of money because I got myself an education, got a job then lived way below my means to save every penny and I am now reaping the benefits.

Now, does that come as a surprise to you? Still can't believe that a Filipina can have more money than her American husband? At any rate, hubby can afford to let me stay home because he makes more than enough. We are very comfortable, thank you.

Oh I understand all right, wow we could be sisters :P

Btw you obviously having nothing better to do than nit pick about minor spelling errors on an Internet forum. How sad.

You laugh about people from other counties when you don't even know a thing about our country and our culture. The Philippines export our labor force. We call them "OVERSEAS CONTRACT WORKERS" and they number in the millions all over the world. They are the reason why the Philippines is keeping afloat in this kind of economy. They pour billions of dollars to the Philippine economy.

Yes they do. While sucking millions of US dollars out of OUR country. That's why those types of workers are called leeches. It isn't that there aren't enough people here to do the jobs, it's that the leeches will work for a LOT less. All they do is undervalue jobs for US citizens (look at our minimum wage compared to Europe) and send our dollars overseas.

I'm not talking only of the Philippines, of course...all countries who export large numbers of workers - India, China, etc.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

:secret: to answer that question in bold - an organizer

you might even notice that next to Group: Members ;)

Okay, thanks!

it feels weird having to explain that to someone who has been here longer than i............

I didn't pay attention to all that stuff and didn't care to learn. My bad. I'll try to play around... if I find the time. What with all these household chores that a lowly Filipina wife has to do  (gotta put that smiley face in case some people think that I'm serious about being a lowly wife).
