What's more disturbing is that someone here bought into it and felt compelled to post this nonsense. There may be 69 million Catholics (I'm one of them) but most of us, thankfully use our God given rationale and will vote based on tangible reasons....like the economy, health care, jobs, the environment.

For those who believe/send the email, you should really take it with a grain of salt. While there are some comparisons(would be with any charismatic leader), the rest is just speculation and trying to scare people. We don't know what can happen with any leader from any side...but this is way over the top. I am a Christian, very devout, it affects my every day. I don't think it's wise to fall to these kinds of scare tactics. "What if it's right?" some people may think. In that case maybe they should further investigate Hitler's rise to power and compare it to Obama, and not just read this email as proof. I don't support Obama for President, but I don't believe the lies that are being told about him.

I don't think insulting the OP is a good way to go about letting someone know you think what they posted is wrong, but whatever.

Hitler tried things the "coup way" first, then when it failed, over time he decided he'd have to get higher up the legal way, and then he could really do what he wanted.
