Waiting for appointment schedule

Hi guys....

We missed getting scheduled by NVC for appointment at USEM by just one day. I guess I had conditioned my mind that we would be getting scheduled before the end of November and that we would soon be going for our medical. I just feel a bit disorganized right now. I have all the documents ready for the interview and I am just sitting here waiting. I think of the eventual disruption of my daughter's schedule at school. I can't even finalize follow-up schedules for patients, telling them to "please call a few days before your scheduled appointment".

Admittedly, I am quite restless because I just want to get this over and done with and start preparing for the holidays and our baby's birthday and my husband's arrival. I know, we can't do anything but wait and we should still be thankful for going through the process in record time. Just wanting to vent a bit...

make sure you complete the checklist as indicated in your appointment letter. Also bring extra copies of your petitioner's AOS, 2007 tax return, birth and marriage certificates (if married) and the CENOMAR/CENMAR. Also don't forget pictures and other secondary evidence of identity. Pay the DV fee just in case. Good luck in your interview. :)

NVC schedules interviews for IR/CR beneficiaries usually around the 2nd week of each month. We missed that 2nd wk cut-off by a day. My husband would be receiving notice of the appointment, as would I and our daughter. But thank you just the same :star:

I made a duplicate of all the documents I submitted with my visa application. Added the receipt of payment too for added measure. Dont forget yout CENMAR; I got mine today after applying online last week. I also have my transcripts of records, old and present gov't-issue ID's (driver's license, PRC, photocopy of my old passport), baptismal certificate, my own BIR registration and tax returns, medical records. Chat logs (am still editing as I have more than 1,000 pages worth), emails including emails from my mother-in-law, cards and letters, bank statements from our joint account, a letter from his credit card company, a letter from his insurance company, plane tickets, money remittances, wedding expenses. I have photocopies of his birth certificate, professional license, his employment certificate, all his ITRs from 2004 with accompanying W2's and payslips, a notarized copy of the AOS. I am working on my certificates of employment from my clinics at the moment. Oh...and photos too of my husband and I, with my family and relatives, with my daughter and photos of myself and my daughter.

Yes, paying the DV even if it is no longer a requirement would be a good thing, too.

If you already have a case number, the ff: links would be useful:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html

Eventually, NVC through the embassy will send you your appointment letter as well as further instructions on what to do next including your medical.

DV is P650 payable at Metrobank. Since the DV is a controversial issue nowadays as it seems to be waived for the meantime, I strongly suggest that you do a search on DVs in this sub-forum.

The medical exam costs is the peso equivalent of $213.35 at the current exchange rate.

The vaccines required depend on the medical examiner's evaluation. Some will be done in SLEC and some will be in the US. Your payment already includes the vaccination costs.

Thank you....maybe yours is done too. That would be nice...maybe we'd have similar scheds, you think? Know what we did? My husband persistently called NVC every single evening (yes, evening...to allow them to do their thing). We sent it through courier so that we were able to track it and know exactly when it was received at NVC.

I still plan on paying the DV once I get our appointment notice, controversial as it is or not. Metrobank, it is said from the link on the USEM site.

Yes, I know how it is to wait. I am honestly impatient with the entire thing. I want to do the medicals already....sigh....
