Charlie would have been a helpful pick for McCain - FL wouldn't be competitive and he'd have a running mate with cross-party appeal. Unfortunately, Johnny went for the Alaska Barbie doll who turns out to be biggest disaster he could have asked for. Serves him right. No sound judgment, no win.
