Hey everyone, it's been about 6 weeks and counting since my husband's interview at the Cairo embassy, and all we have been hearing is "pending the officer's final review". Someone informed me that it might be part of a security check process. Does anyone know how I find out if he is going through these security checks? Who should I contact? the embassy isn't helping too much, and I read somewhere that the state department in the US does them. Please let me know if you have any information. thank you so much everyone!

Call DOS...They can give you some information. Specifically they told me when our visa was issued so I had that information when I emailed the embassy back about our case.
