A question which I could not find the answer to in the forum archives or elsewhere.

In the I-765 application for work authorization there is a question if the application has applied for work authorization from USCIS before. I went through JFK airport when entering the USA, and was given an 90 day work permit - does this count or is it different - ie should I answer yes or no to the question?

Thanks in advance

David

Question 11 is NO, unless you had filed an I-765 sometime in the past on some other visa, like a student visa.

Getting temp EAD stamp at the airport is NOT filing an I-765.

One last Note for #16 the answer for a K-1 is always (C )(9 ) BASED on pending I-485. (A )(6 ) IS the temp EAD the expires 90 days after entry.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Aha, thanks so much - that clears that one up. Just need to battle through the joys of the I864 and the paperwork will be completed (hopefully at least).

Thanks again
