FBI name check question

I just called FBI to get status of my finger print and she said i got complete result sent back to the USCIS the same day but she couldn't tell me the result. so is that mean my background check was cleared?? how can i check my back ground check result ? and when will i get interview date? please respond so i can sleep tonight lol

My understanding is that FP check and name check are seperated. Usally FP check clears within 24-48 hours, but name check is case by case.

I believe the lady from the FBI meant just your fingerprint results are complete and sent back to the USCIS. From what I understand the fingerprints take very short time to be processed; the name check is what takes long. I am not sure if there is any way to know when you'll have your interview, but I don't think so.

YOu guys are right, Finger print check completed with couple of days, but namne check can take time. If you have problem and your name check has been pending for quite some time write to CIS Ombudsman office. They will help you expidiate your case.
