Hi guys,

I just got the NOA and it says: " If you have not already done so, provide supporting documents to assist USCIS in processing your petition and to establish eligibility to remove the conditional basis of your permanent residence...:

- Lease of joint tenancy or joint ownership of assets

- Joint mortgage agreement and/or property deed

- Tax returns

- Birth certificates of any child born from the marriage

- Joint policies of life, medical and/ or car insurance "

Here is my list of evidences that I sent along with my petition:

- Copy of Marriage Certificate

- Copy of Green Card (back and front)

- Copy of Bank Account Statement

- Copy of Tax return 2007

- Copy of electricity bill and internet bill

- Copy of car insurance policy

- Some pictures

We don't have any children, health insurance and lease.

Should I send more bank account statements (for any month of 2006 and 2007) and the tax return 2006 since I only sent the bank account statement of September and the tax return 2007?

OR

Should I wait until I get a RFE?

Thanks- your help will be very appreciated!!

I'd wait to see if you get an RFE, if you sent something in now, you cannot guarantee that the two sets of paperwork will find each other, IMHO.

sending tax returns/bank statements for both 2006 & 2007 would have been better. I'm no expert but I would wait and just be prepared for an RFE ...maybe get the 2006 and 2007 tax transcripts from the IRS and have the bank statements ready. That said we did not submit any affidavits or photos and were approved without an RFE..but we did have multiple year financial documents and a joint deed to our house. I did not see evidence for a deed or lease in the evidence you sent.

Yes, you need to supply evidence over the whole period of your marriage, not just one year.

The minimalist approach seems to be:

One bill in joint name for every 6 months

One bank statement in joint name per 6 months

Tax return for each year (so 2-3 depending on time for AOS)

Car, Health or other insurance in both names

joint lease or joint mortgage or joint property deed (if possible)

as well as the other evidence you sent.

Affidavits and Photos are not necessary.

If it cost less than a dollar to send, then it may not be enough

AOS/EAD/AP Filed:2006-09-23
AP Approved:2006-10-30
EAD Approved!:2006-11-02
AOS Approved!:2007-02-12

Remove Conditions filed:2008-11-13
Green Card Received:2009-01-30

N400 Filed:2013-01-25 (Phoenix)
Biometrics:2013-02-25 (Grand Rapids)
Interview:2013-05-07(Detroit)

Oath Ceremony:2013-05-24(Marquette)

Thanks for the reply... I did not pay too much attention when I was doing the package...argghh I should have...

but I think I'm gonna wait to get a RFE to send more evidences because if I do it now then if they ask for more, i will not have anymore evidences to send...

I do not have any joint lease (we lived with my parents during the 1st year) and now we live in a house that we have to fix and in exchange we have free rent til March...

I would look to have that deal you are in now memoralized in writing. Just because you are living rent free does not mean you should not have a lease or contract of some sort. When we went to buy our house, hubby did not have a SSN yet, so he could not be put on the mortgage, but in anticipation of this process I insisted that he be put on the deed/HUD-1.

Affidavit is not a compulsory doc but you can add copy of both your DL that show you are living the same address. Pls make sure the evidence will cover all the 3 years. Make it neat and easy to refer. Its good not to over load your evidence with a huge bundle. It will be easy for them if the package is small and neat.

That is the standard message every single person gets when they file the LOC. Please do not worry unless you are given a reason to worry.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
