The answer to your original question is this - and I know this because my wife did the physical, just like you want to do, before the petition was approved, so that her interview could be scheduled as soon as the package was received at the embassy from the national visa center.

We filed the I130 and I129F exactly a month apart, just like you did. The I129F receipt notice has your A-number, this will be your registration number throughout the process and will be your A-number on your green card after you receive it. IF the embassy or consulate where you are going to do your visa interview gives you permission, and agrees to take the results of your physical and start your A-file before approval, which I had them agree to - then you need to request a Packet III package from the embassy, they can email it to you, as the embassy in my wife's home country did for me.

The forms for the physical are in that Packet III. They are filed by the embassy/consulate by your A-number which is on the I129F NOA1 (NOT the I-130). SO - if you want to save a little bit of time on your case -

1. First determine which consulate or embassy is applicable to your case and location, where you will be doing your visa application and interview

2. Have your husband contact that embassy, explain what you want to do, and request a Packet III

3. Schedule an appointment with a local civil surgeon, which it sounds like you have one that you have selected

4. The civil surgeon will do the physical, and mail the results directly to the embassy/consulate

5. The reference number (case number) that our embassy used was the A-number on the I129F receipt.

Your results are good for (1) year. It does not effect your K3 visa as much as it can potentially effect your subsequent Adjustment of Status, because if you do not get through AOS approval within that year, you will have to repeat your physical here in the US so that it is current.

So, in our case:

I129F filed July 2007

Physical was in November, 2007

Approval was mid-December, 2007

Interview was mid-January, 2008

AOS filed in February, 2008

AOS interview was August, 2008

We waited nearly (4) months after filing so that we could, according to average processing times, complete the AOS process within the 1-year timeframe, and we just made it.

I hope that helps answer your original post

i don't get it.
