Good morning or good evening, everyone. I have a question regarding Moscow Embassy rules wrt immigrant visa interviews...

It is known that everyone's appointment letters state that the applicants should be at the embassy by 8 AM. Question: is it on first come first served basis? Is there a benefit of showing up early? What is the longest the wait time could be before the interview actually begins? Is baby food allowed inside?

With an infant on hands, I don't think it's fun for anyone to listen to the baby screams....

Any ideas?

Thank you

hi!

there will some people who have the same appointment time as you, and you will have to wait a line of all 8am people to enter the embassy building. when you will need to go through security and take a number, so the 1st person who takes a number will be interviewed 1st.

i was the last person in the line when i had my interview, so i had to wait a lot, you can imagine how nervious was i!

good luck!

Very interesting. Thank you.

Looks like this is not going to be an easy experience for my wife. Luckily, the end of daylight adjustment this coming weekend is playing for us. This "gives" us an extra hour, if you know what I mean.

Actually the number might not mean anything. My number was seven out of 11 that day, but I was the fourth one to be interviewed and it seemed that it was out of oder for most people. Regardless, there are not that many people interviewed at any giving day so it goes by fast.

God! I cant believe I sent my message 3 times! Is there any way to delete couple?

Oh, come on now... you were just trying to get your post count up!

Slow internet, sticky buttons... yeah, yeah, we've heard them all before! (I've said them a time or two.)

We came 15 minutes late and just walked up to the guard and told him we had an 8:00am appointment and he let my wife cut right in. No waiting in the cold for hours. I am not sure why people even do that after that experience.

In the years I've been on VJ I've seen people post -

"We showed up three hours early standing in the snow and minus 20 with no break to pee... then she got inside and waited three more hours."

"I wait one hour in rain and at me was first in line.... when inside wait two girls before me make interview process."

"I was sixth in line and called first once we got inside."

"We were 15 minutes late and got right in."

"On embassy, all girls told wait in wait area and it makes look like so random process, even doesn't matter which position in line for come inside."

So, take that to mean whatever you want it to, but if you cut through the #######, and listen to Satellite (which you should always do anyway!) if your appointment time is 8:00, then you should show up at 8:00. That doesn't mean 6:00 in the snow and that doesn't mean 7:30 waiting in line to pee. That means get off the Metro at 7:45 and walk to your 8:00 appointment.

Just want to add that she was out before 11:00am and I am certain she was the last one in.
