I had stopped checking status online for quite sometime. But when some of the November/ December folks began to get approved I became obsessed (once again) checking at least once a day (often more). This morning I logged on expecting the same old same old but got a really pleasant surprise:

Receipt Number: EACxxxxxxxxxx

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On October 20, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you.

All I can say is multistars.gifyaysmiles.giffiesta.gif

Thanks everyone for your help & support. The advice here is so valuable and hoping everyone elses approval comes through soon...

Hi Bettenan,

:star: Congratulations, Bettenan for getting your 10yr Green Card!!! :star:

After such a long 11 month wait, you deserve it! It's good to know that the VSC is doing something, even if it takes a long long time. Too bad though, you couldn't get a refund for the I-751, as you only have the 10yr card for a short time now.

Oh well, onto the next stage of citizenship for you, Bettenan!

Good luck too on your Citizenship application and the rest of your immigration journey!

thankusmile.gif EVERYONE !!!! Not only for your good wishes but again for all your assistance. The Green Card is for hubby (Richard) who just is happy to let me complile the paperwork and then just sign his name. I guess being a career bureaucrat helps, both with the paperwork and the patience. I’ve been on the other side of the fence.

I am just happy that (hopefully) the new card will arrive before we leave for our December Caribbean vacation and yes when we return home it’s on to Naturalization usaflag1.gif. Again good luck to everyone waiting and may their journey move swiftly.
