Good day,

Hello everybody,I am new in here and hoping to find some answers to my questions. My GC will expired in april 2,2008 and I know that we need to send the Form I-751 together with the evidence in 90 days before that date. I am a military wife and my husband got an Order to korea for 2 years and i will be going back to philippines which is ok with the military. I know that we need to file for Re-entry permit too for me to come back here in the US. We are thinking of filing a Expeditious Naturalization month of January so that it I don't need to apply for Re-entry permit everytime. I'm also supposed to apply for Removal condition in January. What should I do, apply for both or what?

Thank you.

Before I answer your question, Is your GC already expired or what? You put April 2, 2008 (expiration date) we are in Oct 2008..

Yes if the spouses of a US Citizen is joining them overseas she can apply citizenship under Article 319b.. However I dont know how Article 319b will work for you as you will not be joining your husband in Korea, instead you will be going to the Philippines..

But anyhow, you can always try to file the application, if it does not work, you can still file removal of condition in February 2009.. If you file the application, within this month, you might get an NO1 and 2 withing 1-3 months it depends to service center, you will know by that time then if they deny your case or not....and if ever you have not heard anything about your citizenship application, when you file the removal condition, just put a cover letter stating that you have filed application for naturalization .

Here is the link with all the information regarding 319b.. Hope you can find more useful information than I gave you.
