Affidavit of support - question about current annual income

What does immigration mean by current annual income? Are we going to count my wife's income from year 2008 and give an approx. annual income for 2008? I'm confused with this one. How can I document my wife's income if the question is asking for her " current annual income". This current annual income is pertaining to 2007 income based on her 2007 income tax return? But the word "current" means "up-to-date" sin't it? Meaning, her 2007 income has nothing to do with her current annual income. My wife can't give a correct exact amount of her current earnings when she wants to include her up coming income for year 2008. She's been working there for 6 months... do you have any idea how we can solve this problem?

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

Yes, current annual income means current year - 2008! The income info for 2007 is included in another question on the I-864. If your wife has only been working at her current place of employment for part of this year, then put down the estimated total for the working part of the year. Then supply as many pay stubs as you can and a letter of employment, which should state her current annual rate (or hourly rate), working hours, employment date and possibly advancement opportunities (or hints to the fact that she will continue to be employed at this place in the future). USCIS is looking for evidence that the current place of employment will continue in the future, so try to give them indications to that.

Ok, whatever amount of money that she have earned part of this year is considered her current annual income? If she's been working there for 6 months, is this the only income that will be documented as her "current annual income"? How about the annual income that stated from her letter of employment? i.e for 6 months, she made $13,000.00 and her estimated annual income for this stated from her letter of employment in the amount of $26,000.00. Which one is the current annual income?
