additional requirements to process my visa

hi everyone..

Im done with my K1 interview on Oct.15 The interview went well aside from their request to give additional proofs that my fiance is physically enrolled in school and the cost of his enrollment. cause my fiance stated on his Affidavit that he is a full time student and a fulltime worker. So they asked me questions more on his financial status and i said he's not spending too much for his schooling cause he has only 3 subject per term, but still they ask me to come back and bring my fiance's proof of current enrollment and the enrollment cost. I have the papers now so im going back to the embassy tomorrow...

vj's, im wondering how long they will process my visa after i give them those proofs... im so worried now...

There is no definite time. I suggest after you submit the docs to USEM, call them after a week to make sure the right department have it. You can call 301-2000, press 0 for operator. Ask to be transferred to Immigration Visa Unit for Grace and Lorraine.

In other words you are under (AR) or adminstrative review, same situation as me but mine was AR due to Police Certificate from Japan. Once you have submitted the requirements, it will again touched your case in the manner as it arrives (or the volume of applicants), I just waited almost 2 weeks. I learned some waited for a month or so.

thanks diday and ping... im so worried, my husband will come again to see me and planning to travel with me together when my visa approve and this makes me so worried because january is so soon...

No problem. You can ask your fiance to call them to be sure they have your docs and they are processing it . Coz i know of a case where in an applicant submitted her son's documents and they sorta misplaced it. If she hadnt called in, she wouldnt have known that they are still waiting for the docs when she already submitted it (it sounds silly but sadly true). Her time spent on waiting would have been in vain.

Followup is the key. That way you know whats going on.

So if your fiance' or husband happen to be a full time student, by the time you got your interview, USEM manila CO will ask you to submit proof of enrollment? wuw... Edited October 21, 2008 by my_panacea = Greg

I would think that the school enrollment record they are asking for is part of their verification process from your husband's side. They would probably want to see how much he actually pays for tuition and connect it with his I-134 Affidavit of Support...thats why they are digging his financial capability to support a partner while paying for tuition at the same time... they might have misunderstood your term for a full time student and a full time worker...I "think" a full time worker should be able to show at least 8 hours of work on his pay check otherwise he is classified as a part time worker...tho am not really sure about it by American standards....anyway, just make sure to satisfy any information they need for you to get your visa approved....they are probably just hungry for more information about your petition....good luck as always...
