Wouldn't it be easier if he just gave up, period?

He's doubling down on states with lots of EV's. A sound strategy, given his limited resources.

It's the divide and conquer strategy that Rove engineered to win the WH for Bush, but didn't work when Hillary tried it in the Primaries when she was trailing. I don't think it's going to work now, and I especially don't think McCain can count on the Evangelical vote as it has already splintered.
